Detroits quite the opposite
They are in NO rush to send any of their prospects to the big leagues and would rather they mature correctly in the right places.
look at Jimmy howard, zetterberg, datsyuk, jonathan ericsson (DEAD Last pic in the draft), Franzen (i think)
All these guys were NOT rushed
exactly what i was going to post
the model franchise as to how to bring up players does anything but rush them to the big league.

Trevor Linden will be opening up a new line of gyms called "Club 16". According to a press release, memberships will be starting at $15/month. The first centre opens in January in Coquitlam.
He didn't get to play AHL until his CHL season was over due to his age. Perhaps he didn't feel challenged in CHL. I doubt he'd say that about a league he's hardly played in.
sorry, yeah i meant CHL.

Vancouver Canucks prospect Yann Sauve, 20, was involved in a motor vehicle accident in downtown Vancouver on Saturday. Sauve played last season with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and was not among those on the ice for an informal skate by Canucks players and prospects at Rogers Arena on Tuesday.
"He is making very good progress,'' according to a statement released by the Canucks to the Telegraph Times. "He is continuing to be evaluated and his playing status will be updated at a later time."
Sauve was Vancouver's second-round pick (41st overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and was scheduled to play for the Canucks at this weekend's Young Stars Tournament in Penticton. The 6-3, 220-pound defenceman had seven goals and 39 points in 61 games with the Sea Dogs last season, He added another five goals and 15 points in 21 playoff games.
Sauve signed a three-year entry level contract with the Canucks in late May and was expected to compete at camp for a spot with the Manitoba Moose, the Canucks' American Hockey League affiliate. He has one-year left of junior eligibility.
More to follow.
Too bad free weights won't go that high. Not sure at what weight they will be capping it at possibly 70 or 80 but either way I hope he has success with this.

Looking at the proposed floor plan of Linden's gym on the gym's website, looks like a pretty shitty gym at least for my purposes. Tiny free weight area, with very little equipment and doesn't appear to be a hammer strength section. Looks mostly to be just a cardio studio which I guess would be good for the soccer mom crowd.

With all due respect, the gym isn't supposed to cater to the body-building crowd. This gym could possibly cater to people like me who are not into bulking up, but want something better than their crappy apartment gyms or something other than resistance training at home.
On the other hand, even with the $30 annual fee, I don't see how the gym can make money charging clients $15/month unless they stick to suburban locations where land and buildings are cheap. I don't think you'll be seeing any locations in Vancouver proper any time soon.

Which I totally understand, that's why I said "pretty shitty gym at least for my purposes" and "which I guess would be good for the soccer mom crowd." not that you're a soccer mom, just maybe the same workout goals as them, cardio/yoga & other weight loss classes.
Yea Trevor said on the Team today he is trying to offer a comfortable work out environment for non hardcore type of people. Just your average person who doesn't want to be intimidated by big huge guys thus capping the weights to something low.
