My buddy Chris bumped into him at a bar in Nasvhille between games 3 and 4 and he was really friendly. He said thanks for the support, they're going to do their best to keep it going and shook his hand. It's got to be hit and miss, we all have our good and bad days.

Strangely, they're looking at the Chicago Wolves franchise. Could you imagine our farm team being in Chicago? LOL

Abbotsford would make the most sense. I really don't see why/how the fuck they got chosen to be the flames affiliate

yeah, i mentioned that the other day when the talk of Thrashers moving to Winnipeg became semi-official. at that time, it seemed that the Moose would become the Jets' affiliate though.

I don't know if I'd want ANYTHING to do with Chicago... lol.

noob question here...

so when we switch farm team, what happens with our players who play in the AHL affiliate now? they just automatically switch too?

spoon.ek9 05-23-2011 12:05 AM

^ that's a good question. i'd like to know the answer too.

did Henrik just tap Manny in the ass? LOL

and as you can see...everyone who played didnt look "happy" as they walked in...they are dead tired...so thats probably the reason why they didnt smile at the fans when they arrived this afternoon...

Nothing changes, you are always under contract with the same team. In fact, i swear there was a case when 2 teams shared a farm team.

dbaz 05-23-2011 12:34 AM

if canucks change farm teams all players that are signed with the canucks ie schroeder, shirokov, lack etc will go to the new team. the players who were not signed by the canucks but played for the moose will continue to play for the moose franchise if they still have a contract ex rosa. unless the canucks cant find a team then the will ask other ahl teams to allow their players to play for them which could result in the players being sent to separate teams

crazy.

If the Winnipeg deal happens & the Moose move, I'm pretty sure its just the location. Team or players dont get changed in this case.

rb 05-23-2011 12:48 AM

I wonder what's going to happen with Craig Heisinger (Moose GM). He's done so much for the development of players like Bieksa, Schneids and Kesler + he was the one that discovered Burrows. It would suck to lose him.

cliffhanger33 05-23-2011 12:59 AM

As long as the farm team is located close to Vancouver. The roster will still have all of our prospects, it will just be a different team. Thing is, we'll be losing Heisinger, who is probably the best GM in the AHL. He found us beauties and monsters like Burrows and Bolduc. But I have alot more faith in the Canucks scouting now, so it doesn't really matter I guess, with the loss of Heisinger.... I hope.

for sure they were exhausted. They only registered 13 shots on goal.

They seriously need a bit of down time.

MR_BIGGS 05-23-2011 09:11 AM

According to the NHL the latest the finals can go is June 17.

Canucks in both their prior conference finals won the series in 5 games.

Can't wait for Tuesday night.
