I know wearing it in public is emberassing and shit but what if someone had a signed fake hanging in a case with only the numbers shown signed?
Would that be okay or no?

umm. if i were to go through all the trouble of lining up to get a canucks signature the least I could do is bring a real jersey.
I mean, if you want it as a collectors item it should be a real jersey for sure..
but, to each their own.

I don't think it takes much considering the Abbostford Heat only seats about 7000 people lol.

stuff99 06-03-2011 12:16 PM

What's so special about these tweet up tickets? What section is that?

Cost.

Not everyone has the financial disposability of being a top-tier Canuck fan. I mean, $250 for a piece of garment, $200+ per ticket in RG, $500 per for post?

I know of some people who can't pay for premium Canuck merchandise and haven't watched a single game live but be just as big a Canuck fan as your next homer.

IMO what's sadder than the above example you've explained, are fans who need to shit on other fans because they can't afford the same stuff they can. I mean, just look at how much shit Hondaracer gets on this thread alone :D. It's the equivalent of saying, my Christmases are better than yours because I can afford a lobster hotpot.

edit:

At the end of it all, everyone's cheering for the same team. Just not everyone can spend the same amount, and that's okay

Tim Budong 06-03-2011 12:28 PM

so im closer to more ppl I know.so itbe epic so G u have 4? u wanna trade? HAHAH

I see ur point and I agree
heres my take on the fakes
FOR THE SAKE OF THE CITY, KEEP THE FAKES AWAY FROM MAYOR WHEN HE MAKES HIS SPEECHES...everyone sees that shit. it makes everything look crap.

I'm not embarrassed to wear a fake jersey, only if it was a fake jersey that looked really ugly.

Some fakes are really terrible, while others are not that bad at all. Yeah, the really keen observers can still tell it's not the real deal, but most people wouldn't know the difference.

Anyways, your case wouldn't work out so well either, because one of the main differences between a real and fake is the font of the name and number... so even if you have just that much showing, it can possibly be very easily identifiable as fake.

InvisibleSoul 06-03-2011 12:38 PM

I managed to land some viewing party tickets for game 4 and game 6.

I got two pairs for game 4.

I got two pairs plus a set of four for game 6.

lol jesus christ..why are people still going off about how jerseys are $250+
you can find an authentic replica with the name stitched on and everything for about $170. If you can't afford that, just get a regular jersey without the name ffs. Like other people said, if you can't afford a jersey, buy a shirt or some shit..simple as that.
$200 for tickets? not always for upperdeck tix man

I was at a concert the other day and I seen 2 performers wearing fake Canucks jerseys..one had an Alex Burrows with an assistant captains patch

Looks like it's just a section with the Twitter peeps but maybe I'm missing something here like people sitting in these sections gets BJ's or something.

nosaj 06-03-2011 12:59 PM

^sorry....but i still dont get how it's special...

so everyone can twitt all together whenever the team scores/ someone goes to penalty box/ or whenever something happens?

i just dont get why they have to assign an area just for their twitter fans lol (or whoever uses their code)

kayceeee 06-03-2011 12:59 PM

Does anyone know if the hockey shop stitches or irons on the patches?

Wow selling viewing party tickets for $50. Some people will do anything for a buck. Kinda wish ticketmaster sold the tickets for like $100 each now with all going to charity.
