agreed, but it's tough to argue a case when the team is winning.
So obviously AV is doing something right. Especially now since he put torres in during the last shift and boom he scores a goal.
No one is going to tell AV what to do, nor did they ever I don't think.

So unfortunately Ballard is probably going to be a healthy scratch for the rest of the series =(

yes he played like shit after signing a huge contract and that justified my reason to hate on him.

he's playing great this year and may be considered for conn smythe.

what's retarded is the ppl who are "look at him now/blah blah if we traded him.. in your face.. in your face" etc etc

not taking anything away from the guy, hes played great this season but i still stand by my "wtf was he the last 2?"


play great one season. get huge sign up. play like shit for a couple seasons and then great again.

i cant justify giving him that much more than what hes getting now in case he repeats himself

After hearing about Ballard not playing according to AV's system, if that's true, then I absolutely have no problem with Ballard being scratched. It's as simple as this, you don't listen to the coach, you don't play. I don't care how good any player is, but the team needs to flow as one, and if one guy's out there doing his own thing, I rather put in someone that's willing to follow instructions.

And now that this has been mentioned, I actually DO notice he's always circling back, and sometimes he's the last guy back, so it's quite dangerous if the other team has a strong forechecker.

That being said, Canucks have been winning just fine without him, so AV could care less that he's scratching a 4.2 million player.

Good on Ballard though. Not once did he complain about being underused. He just sucked it up and played when he was given the chance.

And good on Alberts getting a game in. He was pretty choked I think when Tanev got chosen over him.

^ yup, i'm sure alberts was choked but the reasoning behind tanev being put in was because he played as a pair with ballard during the regular season and they played well together. also because tanev is a right handed shot with ballard being a lefty.

I am amazed at all these "fans" making comments they have to retract after being PWNED instantly. Not only did the claf laceration force him to miss basically 1/2 the season for the last 2 years, but any lower body injury will prevent you from any type of conditioning exercises... Bieksa was probably in worse shape after those injuries than Wellfed was in the offseason.

For the guy who thought he "invented" Bieksallent, wow really? That is probably the funniest shit I have read on here. I bet you made up the Luuuuuu chant too right?

do you know what $170 mean to some people? Especially those in the lower end of the income table? That is 1 month's rent on a shared basement split up by 3 people.
