How are we supposed to follow both games?

Another one of Bettman's brilliant ideas

sonick 09-21-2010 07:54 AM

Calgary game is on Rogers Sportsnet, and Vancouver game is on SportsNetOne I believe.

damn, so i guess im gonna have to stream one.........i remember a discussion about sportsnet one.....is that a specialty channel or the normal one?

sonick 09-21-2010 07:59 AM

225 for shaw HD according to an earlier post.

I have analog cable so no SN1 for me :(

Calgary game has a better lineup anyways:

Peter Schaeffer – Rick Rypien – Victor Oreskovich
Raffi Torres – Manny Malhotra / Alex Friesen – Guillaime Desbiens
Bill Sweatt – Brendan Morrison – Sergei Shirokov
Prab Rai – Stefan Schneider – Shawn Weller

Aaron Rome – Lee Sweatt
Kevin Connauton – Kevin Bieksa
Evan Oberg – Chris Tanev
Taylor Ellington – Sawyer Hannay

Cory Schneider – David Shantz

Sportsnet One in Standard Definition is on 159 for Shaw users without an HD box (I made sure and checked when someone posted we got the channel, it works.) So...for those with basic cable...REJOICE!

sonick 09-21-2010 08:26 AM

Sick, it looks like it's available on standard cable too, Channel 88 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogers_Sportsnet_One

This is the group that will open the pre-season at home Tuesday against the Calgary Flames:

Schaefer – Rypien – Oreskovich; Torres – Friesen – Desbiens; Sweatt – Morrison – Shirokov; Rai – Schneider – Weller; Rome – Sweatt; Connauton – Bieksa; Oberg – Tanev; Ellington – Hannay; Schneider & Shantz

Kevin Bieksa and Manny Malhotra will also dress for the Canucks, but it’s unclear in place of who.

This is the group that will open the pre-season on the road Tuesday in Calgary against the other half of the Flames:

Tambellini – Perrault – Hansen; Glass – Bolduc – Schroeder; Volpatti – Bliznak – Morin; Hordichuk – Rosa – Anthony/Fraser; Ballard – Baumgartner; O’Brien – Ramsay; Zimmerman – Alberts; Polasek; Weiman & Lack

How come it's not showing up on my shaw tv guide? 159 or 225?

Harvey Specter 09-21-2010 01:13 PM

I hope Bell gets Sportsnet One soon or I'll have to switch to Shaw.

Gumby 09-21-2010 01:17 PM

For those that will be at tonight's game:

Cody Hodgson will be signing autographs in Section 315 from 6:00 – 6:45pm!

411ken 09-21-2010 01:47 PM

Does anyone agree with me that they should "lower" tickets for these Preseason games? I've seen ticketmaster and the prices are the same as regular season.. lol...

Dragon-88 09-21-2010 01:59 PM

Can someone confirm if you need a box to watch sportsnet one low def?

same for every team and basically every pro-league

the shits is paying full price for NFL pre-season games at full price, you dont even see starters in alot of the cases, at least in the NHL you usually get a handfull playing
