There's definitely going to be lineup tweaks for sure. Rome looks to be a suspension for sure - they won't let this one go, especially with the attention that concussions are getting.

If Rome gets a suspension, so should Lucic for that cheap head shot on Burrows. This is a good chance for the NHL to show that any type of head shots are suspendable offenses.

spoon.ek9 06-06-2011 08:27 PM

i'm kind of curious, how did daniel get a 10min misconduct for grappling a guy (ference?)

couldn't hear shit while at boston pizza..

This was such a strange game... we played pretty well in the first and killed off a huge 5 min major, but lost a d-man just 5 minutes in. Then a couple of lucky/weird goals in the second kinda gave Boston the momentum and our D seemed to have run out of gas and stopped skating. Then in the 3rd we tried to push back but then by that time the game was starting to get out of hand and the refs started to throw people out, and we could never make a strong enough push to make it meaningful.

I did expect the loss but not like this... a little embarrassed because this is the cup finals and no team has been blown out like this for the past 15 years..

Oh well, we got the stinker out of the way and I expect us to come back strong in game 4 and win it at home on Friday night.

6thGear. 06-06-2011 08:33 PM

Really? Poor reffing? I felt they did a good job of controlling the game before it gets out of hand. Sure the Kesler penalty (elbowing) was kinda weak, but for the most part, the penalties weren't overcalled like game 1 and the refs let both sides play, for the most part. Ref's took control of th game, handng misconducts out on both side and I'm fine by that

Don't you mean Vancouver Pizza?:troll:

Pretty sure Refs did it equally and held the game together before shit starts to fly everywhere

Iceman_2K 06-06-2011 08:33 PM

Horton's probably going to be day-to-day, and a game time decision.

DanHibiki 06-06-2011 08:34 PM

i scrabbled trying to organize everything with my friends and where to watch the game today and bam. this shit.

HAH! Your kinda right there. But I don't think Lucic has taken over, much like Chara hasn't and I had expected them to from game 1. Then again, they still can wake up in this series

why?

If only SSSSSSSSSSSsssss got a chance to play :failed:

This feels like the exact same thing as the Torres/Seabrook hit. Lit up the opponent but this time... it's only 2 wins, not 3 wins. :fuuuuu:

It's okay though GAME 4!!!!!

Lu wasn't to blame for all the goals tonight, the defence looked awful. Onto game 4!

spoon.ek9 06-06-2011 08:42 PM

i'm so glad i don't have any bandwagoners on my fb!

anyways.. canucks need to focus again on that one-game-at-a-time mentality. this counts as one loss anyway you paint it. we're still up 2-1 but we need to keep our cool and play our game. losing composure is not what this team is about, tonight should be last time that occurs in this series. and of course, anyone who knows a bit of hockey knew this wasn't going to be a sweep. most importantly though:

I STILL Believe and so should YOU!

GO CANUCKS GO!

* They didn't lower the screen. Getting lower bowl tickets is a bad idea as my neck is now killing me.
* You get a free towel.
* Good atmosphere but be prepared for the typical bandwagoner comments, esp if the team is losing.

Best spot is near the top of the lower bowl anywhere away from a corner, the upper section was kind of far away, and the worst spot is the low areas near the ice.

fliptuner 06-06-2011 08:53 PM

Hold on a sec....you watched the game where?

Rogers Arena is opened for away games for people that bought tickets ($10) from TicketMaster.

Game 4 is apparently all "sold out" [thats what TicketMaster said to me on Friday and I managed to get tickets the next day :lol]

Game 6 tickets are still available

Managed to spot van19, and I'm pretty sure I've seen some RS'ers

I don't want any posts saying Horton deserved that hit. Thats such a terrible thing to say, no one deserves to be injured. I sincerely hope that its nothing serious with him. Nathan Horton is a fair playing hockeyplayer, a fantastic guy off ice and I wish him the best of luck reaching game 4.

i was watching at "vancouver" pizza.. pretty bad venue for games i'd say and their menu is laughable.

TRDood 06-06-2011 09:05 PM

First time sitting at the club section, they have so much more food and washrooms.

The screen position was okay, sat in row 18, center ice. Surprisingly the TV was pretty clear, looking like HD.

The 2nd intermission with the kids playing hockey was pretty cool.

I thought we would get a SCF towel, but it's only a leftover playoff towel. Better than nothing.

It's definitely worth $10 to get in to hear the goal buzzers and the towel. Better than sitting/standing on the road outside CBC. The trash aftermath on the road is disgusting. Why can't people clean up after themselves?

One thing I didn't like was the damn advertisements, 1 minute the arena is all dark, another minute the arena lights up because of a fucking viagara ad.

Here are the pictures.

In Rogers arena there were people cheering to a motionless horton laying on the ice. Awful.

I thought I was going to have an epileptic seizure b/c of those bright flashing lights. I was also really disappointed when people started cheering when Horton went down and was motionless. No wonder other fan bases call us classless

tr0ubl3s0m3x 06-06-2011 09:26 PM

when will the league start saying that the person getting nailed is also partly at fault for not keeping your fucking head up. cmon! in the beginning stages of playing hockey, everyone is taught keep your head on a swivel and know anything and everything thats on the ice.

Rome will probably get a game, but man, the players and the ones getting nailed have to realize that u cant go admiring your own pass, or reaching for the puck etc. be aware of your surroundings.

shitty game by the Canucks.. no jump, horrible passing. they'll be back and ready for game 4.

GO CANUCKS

jeedee 06-06-2011 09:32 PM

lol there was a guy wearing a Bergeron jersey a couple seats away from me [sec 107] and he started clapping. 2 rows down a lady goes "SCREW YOU!" and he goes quiet from there.

I wonder if he left Rogers Arena unscathed :lol
