I wonder if he left Rogers Arena unscathed :lol

I'm surprised and have a lot more respect for some bruins fans, after seeing some of them shake hands with canuck fans after the game was over. That deserves respect. I wish I can say the same with the crowd here....

:lol Shea Weber is active on Raymond's FB right now.

You guys should talk to him before he logs off.

Guess he's not bitter?

twitchyzero 06-06-2011 09:50 PM

when i saw the stretcher coming out for horton i thought about the Bertuzzi incident on Steve Moore

MR_BIGGS 06-06-2011 09:51 PM

I didn't like seeing Horton laying their like he did.

It was a late hit and my thinking is that the Refs took care of it by calling 5 and a game. I feel there should not be any more discipline.

Canucks were down to 5 dmen and many Canucks had a bad game.

They have to regroup and adjust their gameplan.

Bruins broke Canucks forecheck to easy tonight.

including the misconducts we got 60 Penalty minutes... and 5 players removed from the game. and boston got 5 players and 1 injury from the game.

This is the definition of blood sweat and tears that defines true Stanley cup Contenders. Even thou it was a blowout, everyone played with the desire we all should see at this time of year.

home from RogersArena and all the post game jazz...
gotta say, the crowds inside made it less painful

We didn't care about the score in the last 2 games so don't start giving a shit now. Win is a win, loss is a loss. I didn't expect to sweep, 1 win on this trip to Boston is just awesome.

B,b,b,but the prophecy "supposed" Canuck fans was spouting was Chicago in 7, Nashville in 6, San Jose in 5, and Boston in 4?

I also thought Tim Thomas was supposed to suck?

Not knockin' you flip, but I just couldn't pass up the chance to prove how certain other vocal "supposed best Canuck fans" that they don't know shit about hockey.

Sure you can scream the loudest, brag the most, and can drop X amount of money in Canuck merchandise, but some of you guys still don't know shit.

Always nice to see lots of goals Kay Thomas. And with the risk of saying this. Was nice to see Kevin Christopher Bieksa give away a couple. Considering his big mouth. was that the new way of making juice?

Volvoman 06-06-2011 10:19 PM

Maybe they were clapping in support when they lifted him up? I was clapping as well. I also clapped when this dude came out.

I will once again say this. some people will not agree, but this is truth

You come down the middle, admire your pass, id say 8/10 defensemen will lay u out. Doesn't matter how it's done, the hit will come.

not a very good example, but it works

then theres this, if this happened pre lockout NHL. It might not even be looked at.

and then this

but to be honest, both of these hits make Rome's hits look amateur

then theres this too, from last season

* Good atmosphere but be prepared for the typical bandwagoner comments, esp if the team is losing.

Where I was sitting there were girls who made comments like, "Wow, I've never seen players get kicked out of the game before." For future games I will definitely watch it downtown instead.

Spotted Darthchilli and his cup ;)

Will be there on Wednesday, RS meet up? Haha.

ANYONE SEE THAT LITTLE KID DURING INTERMISSION? HIGHLIGHT REEL GOAL !!

Edit:

I also heard that Alain wanted to pull Luongo (forgot after which goal).. but Luongo said he wanted to stay in and Alain said okay..... Not sure if this is true, but if it is then I kind of feel bad for Luongo.

Noir 06-06-2011 10:44 PM

(meant to quote chilli but its long)

Horton hit was a bad one but it wasn't dirty IMO.

He just stood his ground on the blue line and the best guess I can surmise is that he miscalculated (or misread) when Horton was going to dump/pass the puck.

It just seemed he already committed to the hit while Horton was still in possession but I'm guessing he just followed through because I assume that since he's slowing down, if he didn't stand him up and let him through instead, Rome would've been burned on the play defensively.

The major plus game ejection is fine, and good on the Canucks to give Horton the stick tap when he was being carted off but it'd be sad to see if people see this as another example of what's wrong with hockey.

Thats exactly how I see it. Funny how the hockey panels don't mention this fact. I 100% agree

btw..look who I saw BWAHAHAHAH

fliptuner 06-06-2011 10:57 PM

Yup, said the exact same things during the game.

You wanna see concussion inducing shoulder checks that injure, just youtube "Scott Stevens Greatest Hits" (some are clean, some are head shots). Maybe not acceptable in todays game but I still don't think Rome's is suspendable, especially since he was given a misconduct.

edit...here:

Also, I don't think it's been mentioned but from what I've seen, the hit isn't what injured Horton, his head smacked the ice when he landed. That's why I say the intent to injure isn't there.

And yeah, Noir, I try to avoid predictions - it's pretty cocky and only makes you look like an idiot when you're wrong. I can always say what the team has accomplished, what they've proven and what I hope will happen. As a fan, especially this season, I mainly just want the boys to play their best (because it IS the best) and stay healthy. Bad bounces, crappy calls etc. will come but I'll never fault the team if they're giving 100%.

I'm going to be sitting in section 103. Been awhile since I've sat lower bowl.

The best part of the entire game was watching the mini game that the kids had during the intermissions. They were a hell of a lot of fun to watch!
