meh id rather see Rome still in it with a big troll face whenever he passes Horton for hurting him instead of the both of them being out (what you guys failing prefer it the way it is with both of them out of the game? and Horton seriously injured? )

i'm so nervous and anxious waiting for game 4.. i just want the canucks to play their game and not get sucked into the physicality that boston thrives on. we need to regain focus on playing between whistles... we did that earlier on and throughout the season. i just hope they realize it's a matter of them choosing what they want to do the rest of this series.
yeah its "interference" which is a 2 min penalty but suspension was base on the comments and injury after the hit is what im saying. NHL worry too much about what the fans think.
If you are judging this hit all you need is this gif to make judgements...
I think this is a double edged sword here, horton taunted rome earlier, and rome foolishy reacted with a big hit. 4 Game suspension is ridiculous, just shows how buddy buddy the bruins are with the NHL commity. And theres replays of horton trying to get up a few moments after while being forced down by the medical staff.. These guys are pro athletes that take big hits all the time, yet they are treating them like babies..

If you're referring to the medical staff preventing Horton from moving that is absolutely the right thing to do. Guys often want to get up and not look weak but are so out of it they don't know how severe their injuries may be. He was c-spined for a reason: he was knocked out very badly and probably has a level three concussion. That's not treating a pro athlete like a baby.
cressydrift u failed my post, what facts do you have to back up your fail?
hit was clean and suspension was fair
2 games for severe injury
2 game for late hit and message sending out to the rest of the nhl this is unacceptable
Considering Boston scored 8 goals without him, Boston showed that they don't really need Horton.
It had more to do with the Canucks failed pp/lack of backcheck on the pp, and a couple of lucky goals. The rest of the series will speak for itself. I would be surprised if the Bruins could keep that type of intensity and puck luck for the next possible 4 games.
btw 4 game suspension is bullshit, Rome had NO intent to injure and it wasn't a head shot.
Horton didn't keep his head up and he paid for it. NHL needs to stop basing their suspensions on the severity of the injury and start focusing on the intent of the hit. If Horton didn't get injured, Rome would've been left with a 2 minute interference call.
The NHL ruled it a Blindside, becuz it was ruled as a late hit under Rule48. At the same time, Rome did leave his feet....
It was ruled completely NOT blindside hit.

Q. Without speculating too much, had that hit occurred quicker, a split second after he released it, would that hit have been deemed legal under Rule 48?
MIKE MURPHY: This has nothing to do with Rule 48. This is just an interference penalty, an interference hit. If it was immediate after he released the puck, it would be a legal hit. We have them all the time.
