Exactly. This has been a season of destiny with lots of up's and down's. It fricken sucks yes but I would rather have it this way which like I said will mean that much more when we win. Coming home always helps the players this time of year and the fans at Rogers arena are going to give them that extra push Friday.

I agree, nobody seems to have the same sense of entitlement Canucks fans do.

But then, like I said before, everything just seems to go their way in the end, so that could explain it.

Want to wipe that virgin smile off Thomas' face.

Fucking dude reminds me of the fucktard on the Canadian Tire Money.

Tim Budong 06-08-2011 08:11 PM

my friend said it right on why he's nervous as hell

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR

The ice was shit, but anyone notice that hte Canucks just stopped skating?

whatever...i'll repeat this for those who's free to go

Canucks at YVR 2pm
cheer em on, bring support, not pitchforks

WOW BOSTONIANS ARE AWESOME. Throwing food/beer at nux fans, pulling people out of cabs, pissing on them? Stay class Boston...

nah 06-08-2011 08:24 PM

I believe in EA, they said Canucks in 7! Let's just hope they're wrong by 1 game.

I rather Canucks win at home

So EA HAS TO BE RIGHT

CANUCKS IN 7

Kesler with game winner.

Why does it matter?
a win is a win. Game 6 or game 7.

Sweep? no. Not getting blown out two games in a row. Yes.

As many have said already, Canucks lose the next game, they're most likely done.
Because there's absolutely no reason to believe they will win in Boston if they lose at home.
The only chance they have now is if home crowd can boost them at this point.
And I guess having last change did make a difference last time.

Anyone know if Rome's in the dressing room boosting the team morale? or is he sulking at home now?
Win it for Rome?? (Can we still say win it for Manny, since he's back now??)

rb 06-08-2011 08:39 PM

Sorry for the two losses guys. I knew I shouldn't have left my home setup. Just gave my game 6 viewing ticket away

cliffhanger33 06-08-2011 08:44 PM

Finals last year: Hawks won first 2 at home, lost next 2 on road, and still won the Cup.... ALL IS NOT LOST

SkinnyPupp 06-08-2011 08:46 PM

I think when the first 4 games are split 2-2, it's like 8-2 in favour of the home team or something like that.

All is not lost, but if they play the way they have been, it will be.

Loungo's post game interview

interviewer: "Roberto, the fans back in Vancouver cheered when you were pulled, whats your reaction?"

Luongo: " ............ next question...."

wow the interviewer is a fucking tool.

So yes, even if Lu gets a shutout in game 5, you gotta consider letting him sit for game 6.

Lol there is no way if luongo plays stellar and steals them the game that he would be replaced the following game

Any statistics on if winning first 2, losing next 3?

:lol haha, AV would make history. The biggest snubbing in SCF ever.

But realistically... Highly doubt Luongo will be stealing any games at this point. He's so down in the dumps.
Only if the team as a whole, supporting each other, work their asses off, will they win another game this series.

Ronin 06-08-2011 08:48 PM

My only problem is in the two Canuck wins, Boston had some good things to take from those games. The scoreboard made the games look closer than they were but still, they had positives.

The Canucks don't have anything in these two games to build on. The came out flat-footed and got burned. No intensity or urgency in their game. If they went out there and left it all on the ice, no one can blame them for coming up short but to lose 12-1 in two games is just terrible.

I think a number of them are playing through injury but guess what, it's the Stanley Cup Finals...everyone still playing is injured and if they aren't injured, they probably aren't playing hard enough. Trevor Linden scored two goals for us in game 7 with what was suspected to be broken ribs.

The Canucks need to regroup and play the next period like their lives depend on it. They need to pounce early and get the momentum back.

I strongly disagree that this is a season of destiny.

That would suggest that regardless of how good or bad the Canucks are, the final result is predetermined.

This was the best team in the league during the regular season for a reason and they are in the finals for a reason. They have to show this in game 5.

Look at their depth and what they have accomplished. Not a team of destiny. They are here for a reason.

MR_BIGGS 06-08-2011 08:53 PM

If you are into stats, teams that win the first 2 games in the finals and then lose the next two go on to win 8 out of 10 times in the finals.

Berzerker 06-08-2011 08:57 PM

Ok Guys not sure if you all already know this as I am not going to go back page by page to check so if it's already public then my apologies but if not.... here's the inside scoop on Hammerhouse.

As some of you know I live in Smithers now and the town is all about the Hamhuis love. I watched the game at his Aunts house tonight and was told that he will be needing Surgery on his Groin and will not be making a return to the playoffs.

Again I don't know if this is made public yet but as a loyal RS member I couldn't have knowledge like that and NOT share it with the rest of you.

Get well soon Danny the Nucks wouldn't be where they are without you.

Berz out.

It certainly helps if Lu can play lights out, but the problem is two-fold. He can play shutout hockey, but the team hasn't been able to score. Canucks have scored 5 goals in 4 games, Luongo would have to shutout every game to win.

AzNightmare 06-08-2011 09:01 PM

Yup, it seems like if Boston gets a 2 goal lead. It's over...
and it's not like we have our so-called beastly PP to rely on.

A bit classless from our own fans... especially when the entire team has been playing like shit the last two games.
And the first two goals from last game (which were pivotal) weren't even his fault. And then all hell broke loose as the team just stopped skating.
And apparently, the team is still hungover today.

fuck. I thought it was his ankle that gave on that hip check.

scottsman 06-08-2011 09:04 PM

just saw the clip of the interview. Lu is a better man than me, I would have smacked the reporter in the face for asking such a stupid fucking question. Dick heads like that shouldn't be allowed in the dressing rooms for post game.

Just saw an interview with Thomas and the media asked him about Vancouver Fans cheering when Lu got thrown out.

Wtf is wrong with the media, this is not the first time a crowd has cheered when a goalie as been pulled.
