I can see why fans in vancouver would talk a lil smack to chicago fans cause they fucked us out of the playoffs 2x in a row, but boston is just another team the only reason there is any beef with them right now is because its the SCF, once its over everyone can relax and shake hands and have a great summer..

Simulated 06-09-2011 11:51 AM

as long as the canucks can hold serve by winning on home ice, this series is still in their hands. i have no doubt, they will come out flying in game 5. what i do hope is that torres and lappy will step up and lead the charge in physicality. 3 games left, 2 wins to do it. GO CANUCKS GO!!!

DanHibiki 06-09-2011 12:08 PM

Win or lose in the finals. I'm very Proud of the team and grateful to see the opportunity.

exactly, I mean being quite honest that stuff happens everywhere not just Boston, your going to enemy turf you think its going to be all smiles and sunshine? there is going to be assholes from every city. When you go looking for the negatives obviously you will find some, I'm sure there were nice Boston fans as well but you won't hear any headlines about them. Take it from me, a Sharks fan living in Vancouver lol, you know sometimes the people are cool with it and we throw some jabs and jokes at each others teams and its all good, but I've ran into people that are like ready to throw down because I don't happen to like the same hockey team as them.

LOL if it was Gumby I bet they wouldn't even get close to him - let alone point fingers at him.

That's loser talk. If you're not first, you're last.
I'm pretty sure every player in the NHL knows making it to the finals means go big or go home. Once making it to the finals, either you win it that year or the dream is over. I don't think many teams go back to back SCF (at least post-lockout)

08 and 09
Pens vs RedWings

Both teams made it back to back. :lol
Not back to back winners though.

He's slow and getting caught out of position a bit too regularly, I was screaming at him to move his fucking feet all game.

That being said, the number of shots the Canucks as a whole put wide of the net was very high. The commentator said "Shot/shoots..... wide of the net" so many times it made my head spin. Those are unforced errors.

what games were you watching? salo may have have had an off game in game 3 but he was a PLUS ONE in the 8-1 loss in game 2. He has by far been the most consistent and reliable D man in this series so far. Salo can't hit the net? Have you been watching Ehrhroff the whole playoffs???? Who single handedly won game 4 against the Sharks with back to back power play goals?

Ehrhoff can't hold the line, hit the net, or get a shot through to the net. I love him, but I cannot say he has been good, at all.

finally! yeah the d pairings last night were not working.
normally bieksa works really well with hamhuis. (5 on 5 situation)
alberts and ballard look sort of like the odd men out trying to find chemistry with the other d men. however ballard seems to be working best with tanev.

i don't know why bieksa was paired with ballard... bieksa ehrhoff and ballard all need to be paired with stay at home guys... so ehrhoff with edler, ballard with salo or alberts, and bieksa with alberts or salo. I knew it would be trouble when ballard was paired with bieksa, as bieksa needs to be paired with someone that never pinches or takes risks. so far, av hasn't made many great decisions. If they end up losing the series, I would probably say the Nucks were outcoached.. Then again, the effort and wanting to hit and finish your hits has to be there for the players. This is probably one of the only times in most of the players lives they get this oppurtunity.. 2 wins away.

We don't look back at the '94 team as losers now do we.

And I know that this team is different from the '94 team in that we were heavy favorites to win but this is the modern day NHL where no matter how favored you are, it's not easy to win.

There's a reason why Theo Fluuery said the things he did about us. It's true. A lot of 1st place teams don't win the cup or make it to the finals.

So there's no reason not to be proud of the team win or lose.

And obvious I rather a win so I can cross one of the things off my bucket list.

Subban is one of my fave players, sucks we didn't draft him.
Looking at Marchand pisses me off, that guy's face is awkward as hell.

Harvey Specter 06-09-2011 01:38 PM

Series isn't over so enough with the negative talk. I have faith in this team to pull out 2 more wins and win the cup.

One lucky bounce beats Timmy tomorrow and it's a whole new series and no one will remember the last 2 games or the first 2 games we won.

Go Canucks go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

# of Canadians doesn't matter. You just can't have a European captain!!! LOL hahaha.... I still remember the fans back in the day who complained about Naslund and shit.

Vale46Rossi 06-09-2011 02:17 PM

Come on guys!

Series just started now that its 2-2!!!

Even if we lose game 5 we still got chance! Let Canucks play their game and win their cup for Vancouver!!!

I am so excited and ready to go to the game tomorrow and get loud and proud!

why cant u have a european captain??

Lidstrom won the cup for Detroit..???

Sedin or Chara are both Europeans

one of them will prevail as the leader of a stanley cup team

there was nothing wrong with it back then and certainly won't be anything wrong with having euro captains today. after lidstrom did it 2008, this year is guaranteed that a euro captain will hoist the cup again.
