just wondering if anyone knows how packed it usually gets? I mean if my chances of getting my jersey signed isn't high then it's probably not worth it for me to wake up so early on a sunday
I went last sunday and there were tons of ppl. Some ppl line up there for a long time. Last sunday some girl asked players to sign her ipad...

Don't know why you're such a negative nancy. Fans just want to make themselves feel more involved with their team and to be assured that their team will win or have a higher chance of winning. Stats just add more fun into the game and if you don't believe in it that's fine but don't ruin it for the rest of us.

Yeah but then you gotta face reality. Stats are stats.

I honestly don't care what the stats are. I just believe that the Canucks will win.
It's just stupid that you choose to bring down other people when they are so emotionally involved with the team. Fans should be cheering for the team instead of trolling each other.
If we're to troll anyone it should be Bruins fans. Just saying.

I think a lot of people, including myself are emotionally involved with the team too..but you can't rely on stats to convince yourself that we are a sure shot to win the cup. We all have faith in this team, but that Olympic stat has been repeated and said so much that it's time to just sit back and watch the players play it out.
Hockey players/fans are the most superstitious people in the world. Go ahead & bring up reality, but as a fan of the sport, you should be aware of this and at least respect it. No need to bring it down.
For example, I'm an athieist, but I don't tell people who believe in god to get a reality check....
That said, I'm not very supstitious...If we win a game, I'll wear the same shirt I was wearing that day for the next game, but that's about as far as I go....I don't care much about patterns in the past, but I do find them interesting.

it's not convincing yourself. It's just to give fans something to cheer for, something to talk about, something to say that we have an edge over the opponent, NOT a sure thing where we win each and every time.
Only bandwagoners look at the stats and think we'll win each and every time because of the stats.
edit: I was gonna do the religion analogy too but I thought people would get what I'm talking about haha

I'm all for cheering for the team, but I am also a hockey fan first, and a Canucks fan second. This sillyness about shaving beards, lucky shirts, Montreal winning in 1976 is just distracting from the actual game itself.
Be passionate, cheer your team, but come on....
Yes the Canucks are stumbling into the next game, but the same thing happend in round 1. The series is tied, and it's a best of 3 with 2 home games. They have played better at home these playoffs, especially Luongo. Those are the reasons to look forward to a good game tomorrow. Not anything to do with the olympics or beards or wearing an unwashed t-shirt
I'm all for being objective and all, but if there's any time to drop the negativity and give 110% support for the team no matter what happens during the game, now is the time to do it. That home ice / 7th man better be louder that it's ever been tmr....
I think this is the first time EVER in this thread where someone posted a video wondering if it had been posted before yet...
and it actually hasn't!
I'm usually not one to care about superstition and stuff like that.
But I felt Canucks will be successful in the post-season as long as I don't let myself get too excited.
So I've been trying to hold back all playoffs long and not get too ahead of myself despite Canucks doing so well...
But after Canucks were up 2-0... I couldn't contain myself anymore so I bought this a stanley cup coin bank, looks like this
Except instead of a NHL logo, it's a Canucks logo.
Weird... cause it's an NHL licensed product, and it specifically says that team version ones are only available
for teams that have won the cup in franchise history. These are being sold at the NHL store. It's like NHL already
predicted Canucks to win... I found mine at Shoppers Drugmart. I was also worried there would be no more left in stock
(only 2 left in this one location, and most other stores were sold out)
so I quickly bought it. Thinking, Canucks will for sure win the cup no doubt.
I'm not doubting yet... but maybe I should have waited. Got too excited...
Feels dumb to have this if Canucks don't win now.
I now have it in it's box facing a wall, and I won't touch it until Canucks win.

GO CANUCKS GO!
I do all those things knowing full well that my playoff beard does not affect how the Canucks play. I know that my beard is not going to produce some sort of butterfly effect. I can't logically think of a reason why it would make a difference to make a joke about it.
...but it's fun! I complain about how uncomfortable my beard is but it's fun to talk about it with other playoff beard growers and automatically knowing that another dudes with a scruffy, terrible beard walking around the city are probably doing it for the same stupid reason. You think random high-fives are reserved for Robson after wins? I've high-fived random people with beards these last few weeks.
It's like sports betting...just adds something extra to the game, especially on days when the Canucks aren't playing.
Hello Boston, look at your fans, back to ours, back to yours, NOW BACK TO OURS!
Sadly, they aren't us; but if you stopped acting like classless fools and started winning you could LOOK like us.
Look down, back up, where are you?
You're looking for reasons to whine, bribing refs who could be on your side. What’s in your hands, back at us.
It’s Mike Gillis with two tickets to the Playoff Finals! Look again, the ticket is now THE STANLEY CUP.
Anything is possible when you believe.
I’m on a bandwagon.
