IIRC correctly, conn smythe comes along with a $1 mil cap hit? toews got it last year and it screwed chicago even more hah.

IF that kind of bonus is in the winners contract they are awarded the amount in their contract for that bonus. So if its 50k, they get 50k and the team has to decide how to deal with the bonus towards the salary cap. I also believe 1mil is the cap for each bonus now not completely sure on that as I do remember them changing it.
