Having said that, I'm totally prepared for a Vancouver loss. After '94, I've seen a lot of good fans give up, because it was too much for them to take. Like christians hoping for jesus to come back, I hope that in my lifetime, the Canucks will bring home the cup. This was an awesome season for the Canucks. Look at how much they have accomplished.
The Stanley Cup would be an awesome way to cap off such an incredible season. Thing is, the other team and fans want it just as much as we do. I like our chances. I dearly hope the fans DT don't behave like a bunch of orangutans. It's only going to prove to outsiders that the fans in Lotusland don't deserve to see their team hoist the cup.
The team we cheer for is going to try their hardest. No doubt about that. Each and every one of them knows what it takes to win it all. I will cheer them on with every fiber of my being, and if they win, I will cherish the moment. If they lose, I will share in their loss. No blame, no pointing of fingers, because that's what fans are supposed to do. Sure, I blamed so and so, and so and so for the two losses in Boston, but it was out of total frustration and disappointment. When it comes down to the deciding game, win or lose, I am still proud to be a Cancucks fan of 42 years. From the WHL days to today and beyond. Go, Canucks, GO!!!!
Monday's game? I am going to block everything out. Soak in every moment, 'cause if the Canucks win, we won't see good hockey again for months. |
