Wow the fans calling into 1040 and posting on CDC are completely falling apart. Yes, Lu had a stinker (he admits this in his post game comments), the PP is still abysmal and the officiating continues to baffle BUT the Canucks played fairly well. Ironically, as lopsided as the series has appeared on paper, the series is tied 3-3 despite our inability to open the floodgates and ONLY score what is it, six goals in six games?
The Canucks will show up for game 7. To think otherwise is |
...what game were you watching?
i'm still a fan and always will be, doesn't matter if things go bad in game 7, i'll still chear for them for ever and ever.
but, you have to call a bad game, and they played like shit. nearly no hitting, no skating, trying to go straight in to cross the blue, no passing, no screaning (if there was it was all shots straight at the screen without taking the time to aim for openings or corners) and pussying out to small guys for fights. at least we showed up in the third. that was almost as bad as the 8-1 game.

Luongo had a bad game, and the 3 goals he let in were all pretty bad. But besides the 4 mins of crap, the Canucks played pretty well. They had more than their own chances to score, and should have had about 3-4 goals by the end of the night. Bad bounces, and an off night. It sucks royally, and I was in disbelief when it was 2, then 3-0. But, I had a bad feeling all day that they weren't going to win tonight.... I didn't want to say it to anyone, but now that they did lose, I had a very bad feeling about tonight.
Anyways, all we can do is get ready to watch another game 7. Hopefully Raymond is ok, but more importantly, Lu repeats a game 5er, and the Sedins start clicking.

Same game you were.
Other than that 4 minute gaffe stretch, there was far more positives to take away from this game compared to Games 3 and 4.

Yup, he said he should have had the Marchand shot and he's gotta make more saves when it counts... they asked him about Tim Thomas and he said "He played good and I been saying that since the start" and he just talked about forgetting about it and focusing on the next game

what a crazy season. a lot of us have been posting since before training camp. none of us could have ever guessed this year's squad would take us to game 7 of the finals. i think a lot of fans are facing the reality that despite all our talent, despite all our depth, it's been a rocky road.
Round 1: nail biting team effort
Round 2: kesler show
Round 3: sedin domination
Round 4: roller coaster ride!
tell me i'm talking like a loser. tell me i'm just making excuses for our team. none of what you say matters because in the end none of us are on that ice or in the locker room. the blood, sweat and tears these guys have poured for us is more than enough to earn my eternal respect and loyalty as a canucks fan. the smart fan has been cautiously optimistic since day one. stay the course, BELIEVE!

The games we won is lucky bounce I am not sure how lucky we can get in game 7.
WE need to take advantage of our speed and skills. Let's hope game 7 we can push the Boston back into their own zone and control the game.

Bottom line...Canucks have won three 1 goal games at home and have had their asses handed to them in Boston.
It feels like the Canucks have not played their best game yet...but the question becomes can they bring an A+ effort in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals?
Injuries are starting to pile up. We've been talking about various guys on both teams elevating their games.
Game 7 is where a legend or legends will be born or a goat will be exposed. I cannot wait until Wednesday but boy am I nervous.
I want to believe that the Canucks will bring their best effort.

We played a decent enough road game for 2/3 of the game. When that Kaberle shot was deflected off the crossbar/post and into the net (4th goal), I knew that the hockey gods weren't going to be with us tonight. We created enough chances to win the game, but the puck bounced off our sticks on several occasions.
I haven't checked the usual blogs (Puck Daddy, etc.), but I imagine that everyone's ripping Luongo right now. He will start Game 7 and you have to believe that he will come back with a strong game. You got to; if you're a Canucks fan, you have no choice.
I believe that the Canucks will win on Wednesday. We will finally celebrate our first cup after 40 years.

I want to believe that the Canucks will bring their best effort. | the good thing is that kesler seems to have found his wheels again... maybe having raymond hurt is a good thing, i mean he really hasn't done much offensively, I think it wouldn't hurt having tambellini in there. The Canucks have scored more in Boston, than the Bruins have scored in vancouver, though |

it's unfortunate that our fan base includes a lot of non-believing pessimists. it seems like they only watch to confirm their negative thoughts about this team and franchise. you can tell they are still fans but they just never have any faith in our team regardless. i can only imagine the heart break fans felt after '94 but why should that mean you give up entirely as a fan? i truly hope we win game 7 but even if we don't, i won't stop cheering for this team. the emotional attachment to this game, this team, and this city is just too great!

Jeff Tambellini's confidence is probably pretty low, but he's got a great shot. If there's an opportunity to bury a puck with Thomas sprawling, you know that Tambi will do it. He'll be absolutely pumped - local boy, playing in front of hometown fans in Game 7 of the final.

just heard gino reda on thatshockey on the mason raymond hit... parallels to the nathan hortan hit.
both were 'late', non malicious, 'unfortunate' injury inducing but no penalty, probably no suspension or even any outlash.. garbage calls
not to mention brad marchand on sedin. like a punching doll

funny thing, if that was a canuck, we would all be praising what an unstoppable wrister lazer beamer it would have been lol
