We'll take it at home. We have to get Thomas moving side to side, I don't think the screened shots are what we're really going to score on him with.

iwantaskyline 06-14-2011 12:55 AM

Luongo better go for a long ass walk on the seawall on game day.

Tim Budong 06-14-2011 12:56 AM

Just another comment before calling it a night... I love this game; the speed, the skills, the physical contacts, and the level of competitiveness. However, it is extremely frustrating when there is absolutely no consistency in how the games are being called from one game to the next, one series to the next, or one PERIOD to the next. It frustrates me as a fan because I don't know if a call is fair or not and if I complain people call me a cry baby.

There have been questionable calls since the start of the playoffs but I don't remember seeing this many hacks, slashes to the back of legs, crosschecks, scrums after the whistle, jabs, facewash, etc etc throughout the first 3 rounds, then all of a sudden BOOM it's in every game and evevery minute of the game.

The Canucks play a fast-paced skating game and the Boston style of grind-them-down has definitely slowed us down. This series reminds be a little of the Nashville series because there's almost no flow to the games, no back-and-forth, and very hard to watch. This has been one of the worst finals I've ever seen, with all the dirty plays being dished out by both teams (espeically Boston because that's "how they play").

If the NHL is going to lose me as a fan, it won't be because of our team or the players, but it'll be for the league's inability to produce a product that is consistently managed. What good are rules when they aren't being enforced, resulting in teams having to change their playing style (Vancouver, from playing offensive skating game in the first 3 rounds, to whatever-this-is-called hack and slash cup finals) to be competitive.

This has been a very, very frustrating series to watch (Lu's meltdowns haven't helped much either).

Win or lose, Bettman will most likely not present the Stanley Cup at the end of game seven. If he does, he will get the biggest round of jeers and boos in the history of NHL hockey. History will be made, LOL.

May not be a classy move, but might be the only way of sending the fokker a message. Players, coaches, managers, and owners can't, really, but the fans sure can.

Wednesday cannot come soon enough.

It has been a homer series, but Canucks have to play the best game of their season to win. I hope they come out and dictate the play early and really set the tone for the rest of the game. The first goal is so IMPORTANT. Every game has been won by the team that scored first. I can't help but think Hank puts that early one in that Bieksa shot off the board...we have a different result.

I've decided to take tomorrow and Thrusday off work. I seriously won't be able to deal with work tomorrow waiting for the puck to drop. What I'd like to see for game 7 is Glass out and Hodgson in, Glass just has no hockey IQ or instincts and hasn't really provided much in the physical department. Tambo I assume will be in for Raymond and hopefully Edler isn't too banged up.

The Canucks will not have Mason Raymond for game seven Wednesday

The Canucks will not have Mason Raymond for game seven Wednesday
Raymond is out long term with a suspected fractured vertebrae

BOSTON MASS (NEWS1130) - The Canucks not only lost game six of the Stanley Cup finals 5-2 in Boston last night but they may have also lost forward Mason Raymond for a long time.

Raymond was hit by Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk on his first shift of the game in the first period and he did not return to the game.

In fact, Raymond left the TD Garden on a stretcher and spent the night in hospital.

Sportsnet is reporting that a source close to Raymond family is saying that he suffered a fractured vertebrae and is gone 4-6 months and he may not be ready when training camp starts next season.

Canucks gm Mike Gillis was very upset that there was no penalty call on the play.

The NHL says that there will not further review of the hit by Boychuk.

Jeff Tambellini is an optin for the Canucks to replace Raymond in game seven tomorrow night in Vancouver.

Hope the boys can get a win for MayRay. Get well soon dude!

Toronto Star

Everyone needs to stop complaining about the officiating. The Canucks had a mental breakdown for 10 minutes last night which lost us the game. In fact, a mental breakdown cost us Game 3 as well.

The only way Boston wins tomorrow night is if the Canucks lose the mental battle.

Pretty much, this morning already I personally know people that bought and sold upper bowl center for $4,000 a ticket and club seats center ice row 9 for $8,500.

Any word on Edler?

RiceIntegraRS 06-14-2011 08:53 AM

One thing about our PP is our defence. Salo and Edler have to switch position part way thru so they can set up each other for one-timers. There shots are being read perfectly by thomas so he can easily make that first save
