Okay Rome gets suspended...fine, as a HOCKEY fan I can deal with that. Mike Murphy's explanation is what I have a problem with. He stated that the suspension was the length it was (4 games) based on the hit:
1) being late (interference)
2) causing a significant injury
My issue is that they based the suspension not on the hit but the result.
Does this criteria not make Boychuck's hit reviewable? It was also late (the puck was no where near the play) and should have been interference, plus it caused significant injury.
The NHL dug themselves a hole by how they explained the suspension. No consistency.
Thank you!!!! This has pissed me off since the hit last night Posted via RS Mobile

They didn't dig themselves a hole as the only people who care about it are the people of a "small hockey market" called vancouver.
Just saw all the Canucks at Fairmont hotel near waterfront. Ehrhoff is definitely injured, saw him crossing the street with a pretty noticeable limp. Saw the twins and Samuelson walking as well, Hank looks fine even though some people think he's injured.

I think I am nervous for the first bit of the game.. see how the team responds and how Lu responds.. If things look stable and good in the first 10 mins I will be able to relax.. Unlike against Chicago, I was a wreck throughout the whole game. Although they outplayed Chicago like no ones business, I hope they can put the pressure to the Bruins.. SPEEEED ... The forwards need to help the D out by spending more time in the opposing zone, and hit to HURT>
I'm nervous because I don't know how the bad bounces will go. Face it, home ice or not, all it takes is a bad bounce or a deflection against us for everything to fall apart.
I ain't nervous. I think most people are just concerned that when we win its always by a goal and when Boston wins its always a blow out. But a wins a win. There's a reason why Bruins still can't have a blow out win in Vancouver, because they have been forced to play Canucks hockey.
If you understand that the blow out happened only because the WHOLE team fell apart and played like crap in front of an away crowd, I think its more understandable.
If the team shows us like they have at Rogers Arena, and if Luuu stops what he needs to stop like he has at Rogers Arena. Then its more comforting. Force the Bruins to play "Canucks hockey" and they should be able to put some pucks past Thomas while keeping the Boston offence low.
Luu's seawall meditation voodoo stuff works for him tomorrow as it has and we should be good. He's been on big stages all or nothing games here at home before.
