Definitely Roy who made the decision to leave, not the management.

he was choked that they left him in, the team left him in not the fans

as roy would say, he couldnt hear the fans with his stanley cup rings in his ears

even montreal fans wouldnt run out their man a french canadians none the less after he led them to a cup in his rookie season, that article puts emphasis on the fans when in reality it was almost all management that led to his actions

would the fans have been booing if he was pulled after 3? he was left hung out to dry.

sonick 09-23-2010 06:54 PM

^ not necessarily. Perhaps not entirely the fans, but obviously they were a large part of his frustration.

Where do you think Carey Price got this from?

Roy did the same thing when he was given the Brooklyn cheer in the last game with the Habs.

Hondaracer 09-23-2010 07:01 PM

yea, after he was kept in for 9 goals..

Either way, you know that he didn't suddenly turn on the Habs fanbase in that one game.

Interesting...I thought Hodgson was suppose to play tomorrow.

kristianhay 09-24-2010 12:02 PM

From the province.

Quote:

On Tuesday, head coach Alain Vigneault said Cody Hodgson was both pain free and symptom free.

On Wednesday, Hodgson participated in a full contact practice. He left smiling and encouraged, saying he had no problems with the contact and looked forward to playing soon.

On Saturday, the Canucks next game, Hodgson still won't be in the lineup. Sunday remains possible for his preseason debut.

As long as he's there Tuesday I'm happy :D

In all seriousness though, its better they don't rush him. I'm sure he's anxious to get out and management is erring on the side of caution.

Possibly Sunday, where there's less pressure on him from the entire Canucks nation!

Agreed 100% though, no point in rushing him in the preseason only to have him get injured again. After all, it is just that, the preseason.

shawn79 09-24-2010 03:06 PM

hodgson hype better live up to the expectation from all these media attention giving him.
ohl player of the yr (mvp)
whc jr most pts (should of been mvp)

raygunpk 09-24-2010 03:23 PM

the media will spin anything they can, hodgson isn't even a lock for the team at the moment.
don't be surprised to see him start in manitoba.

^ :lol

I'm Hodgson fan but that was a good chuckle

sunny_j 09-24-2010 07:21 PM

I think it's best for hodgson and his development to spend some time in manitoba first... I can't wait to see him play.

Still sketchy IMO. Contact in practice must be toned down from real-time NHL contact where guys are looking to destroy you.
