i feel bad for SOB, hope he copes well in manitoba.

I hope SOB plays in the NHL this year whether it be through re-entry waivers or trade deadline. He's done with the Canucks. He could be solid as a 5/6 D on any team, a little pricy, but solid nonetheless.

I had a feeling SOB would be squeezed out this season. His work ethic last season was questionable including that one game were he was benched for been late to practice and it doesn't seem like he gave it 100% during training camp. Not really a smart choice on his part when you know the coach staff is looking for an 110% effort and looking to cut players because of salary cap issues.

Damn we must be really tight against the cap if we couldn't afford to pay him that.

Hopefully Morrison doesn't pull a Gelinas and bury us in a playoff game. Who am I kidding? To beat us in the playoffs the flames would have to finish in the top 8, we good. :)

Flames just got more dangerous in the shootouts.

No regulation losses in since 2007, according to Shorthouse during the first preseason game IIRC.

obviously the nucks just didnt think BMO fit in their plans, i'm sure they could have afforded 750K, but they either A) didnt like what BMO would have brought to the 3rd/4th lines

or B) him not taking a 2-way contract handcuff's them if they need more flexibility on those lines.
