How many of the greatest memories you have of the Canucks originated from Larscheid?
I remember two calls in my life. One is "Greg Adam! Greg Adam!" with Jim Robson.
The other is "He'll play. You know he'll play. He'll play on crutches if he has to! And he'll play in Madison Square Garden!"
Larscheid has a way of articulating what we're all thinking. He understands the ideals of heroism and brotherhood in sport. The Canucks are never going to sound the same without him. It's a damn shame that we won't get to hear his call when the Canucks win the Stanley Cup...whenever that is.

Larscheid's comments haven't resonated like those two calls to me but I know there have been tons. He's given inspirational speeches, he's comforted the fans after tough losses...he said "Bingo bango bongo! His name is Roberto Luongo!"
"I just came from the Canucks dressing room and Pavel's groin has never felt better"
“Pavel Bure plays with such speed that his linemates can't keep up to him. If only he could play with himself out there, that would really give the fans a show.”
"YES!!!!!" — After Pavel Bure’s overtime goal in Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup playoffs first-round series aginst the Calgary Flames.
"Oh, that was a great hand job by Skudra!" — Regarding a play made by former Canucks goalie Peter Skudra.
Despite the outcome, tonights game was a good one. Only caught the first period on television, but listened to the rest on 1040. Don't know if they showed it on TV but listening to Shorty and Tom be speechless when everyone gave Tom the standing-o was just fantastic. Tom's last fifteen or so minutes of just thanking everyone and going through some memories of working in the broadcasting booth genuinely made me sad. I met him a few years ago along with Shorty and Jim and he's one of the most down-to-earth, honest people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. I'll most definitely miss listening to him on the radio.
That said, I loved the whole retro aspect of the night. I know it was to mimic the first game the Canucks ever played (against the Kings and on the exact same night, nonetheless), but it would be awesome if they managed to sneak in a few more of those types of games this season.
other than that it was a great game. looking forward to all future games with LA!

Heart's OK and so is his brain.
Exhaustion, most likely.

FUUUU cant get nhl centre ice. I'd have to get a new digital terminal.
I'm guessing if you want to order it they'll let you trade your receiver for the new one for nothing. I was able to and had to do that for Sunday ticket. The new receiver is way better then the old one, less lag when switching channels, bigger hard drive and no audio sync problems that I've noticed.
