Our penalty kill looks effective instead of what we saw in the playoffs, too.

BlacknJean 10-12-2010 07:20 AM

the fact that we almost lost to the PANTHERS who were playing back to back games who used Mike Weaver to defend the sedins are pretty damn sad

Hondaracer 10-12-2010 07:54 AM

The parody in the league as it is today there are no sure things or easy wins, any team can win on any night

He's posting off a mobile device that probably auto-corrected his typing, I'm sure he knows the word parity and you know what he meant... don't be a dick

Great win, but like someone said above... the Panthers have a pretty terrible team, Lu's been robbed of 2 shutouts so far!

Im gonna have to agree with Hondaracer here. There has been a drastic change in our gameplay. We dont really look like the same team that ended up being the 2nd most high scoring team in the league.(Im hoping that changes) Our PK drastically has gotten better and Luongo... even though its only 2 games hes been playing sooo much better than last year.

I love what Malholtra brings to the table for our 3rd line but im gonna miss having that scoring dynamic we had when it was Demo/Welly/Bernier
And take Kesler off the first PP unit. A guy like him needs to have the puck more, something he will not have playing with the Sedins.

is anyone else having problems loading the player on the canucks website
i get redirected to some spam site...
only from the canucks page.
everywhere else is fine

Malhotra and Torres scored more than Wellwood and Bernier last year. If anything our 3rd line should at least be able to match the output from the previous season.

torres is on the 2nd line. whos gonna replace demitras scoring?

Bouncing Bettys 10-12-2010 10:17 AM

in reguards to Lou's play, does anyone believe having the burden of the 'C' lifted from his shoulders has also helped his focus?

d1 10-12-2010 10:26 AM

torres was on the 3rd line last game. And demitra's scoring? Lol. How many goals did he score last year?

All of the 3 goals he had last year or only half of them?

Wellwood and Demo had alot of chemistry playing together but they didnt always finish. And i know its only the first 2 games of the season but i havent seen it with Malhotra Torres yet. But yes on paper, they "should" outproduce them

There is no knowing for sure but the year he played great in the playoffs is the same year he had the career year and his best year as a Canuck, the first one. I'm fairly confident if he has a good season he'll have a good playoff. Here's to hoping Lu has a great regular season. :)

sonick 10-12-2010 02:26 PM

lol, Hjarlmersson gets 2 game suspension for a dangerous illegal hit, and Wisniewski also gets 2 games for miming a blowjob.

sonick 10-12-2010 04:11 PM

This article amused me: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=337204

Canucks have a state of the art dressing room with private iPod docks at each locker, interactive internet televisions, and a coffee machine that makes 20 different types of coffee.

Oilers have... A PING PONG TABLE OMGZ!

Divide By Zero 10-12-2010 04:18 PM

Avery deserved being on the receiving end of that blowjob mime, lol!

This is RS.
If we aren't dicks, the birth of "wander" "lupoll" "warship" jokes would never
have existed. I think there's more, but those are just the ones off the top
of my head.

This worries me a bit....Lu was always a great positional goalie...getting out, cutting down the angle. If he's playing further back he's going to have to be much more of a reflex goalie. Hope he can do it.
