quick just because he has a really talented team playing infront of him

and he's pretty good.

in my keeper pool i drafted Turco as my goalie, then promptly used one of my Free agent moves to drop him and pick up Niemi..

now i have a descision because it looks like Niemi is shitting the bed and is going to be sharing starter duties, so i'm now considering dropping Niemi, using another FA move [of i only get 3 all year, and ive already used 1]

to pick up either

A) Turco again
B) Halak
C) Quick

i'm leaning towards quick, what u guys think

i would choose halak
he doesn't face too many shots each game though

Turco plays on the best team out of those guys but if you've watched him play, he's shaky this season (and last) so I wouldn't expect stellar stats from him. However, it looks like he'll get the vast majority of starts.

Halak will also get a lot of starts but the Blues are a significantly worse team than Chicago or LA.

Quick may share goalie duties with Bernier but he's the best goalie on the best team here.

It depends on your league's format, really.

I have Lundqvist as my keeper goalie and Varlamov as a backup.

I think that might be David Beckham? Not 100% sure:confused:

Edit: The girl covering her mouth beside him looks like his wife.

Alphamale 10-25-2010 06:02 AM

Or maybe it's the brown guy with the big nose....I'm not 100% sure.

SkinnyPupp 10-25-2010 06:25 AM

If it's Beckham, he's not exactly aging well is he

raygunpk 10-25-2010 06:27 AM

Sammy doesn't care, he'd still hit it

raygunpk 10-25-2010 06:31 AM

And I would pick Halak. I think they're still a little underrated around the league, they're my surprise team from the West.

I have Quick in my other pool, and I just hope he does well every game so he doesn't lose his job. As others have said, Turco is shaky at the moment, and Crawford is capable of stealing it anytime.

Ronin 10-25-2010 06:33 AM

That's Posh and Becks. They were in the building for the Canucks game in LA.

AzNightmare 10-25-2010 07:25 AM

Yeah, they even showed them at one point in the game.
Beckham family was there at the LA game.

Greenstoner 10-25-2010 07:52 AM

i wll be looking at posh at all time

I take Quick as well. His stats are excellent and if he continues to play that way Bernier is going to stay the backup. His stats are way better than last year too, Mitchell probably helped quite a bit.

i should have elaborated on my pick for quick, but i mean ya, as long as he stays solid, i see no reason for bernier stepping in unless LA wants to give bernier a few odd games to keep his legs warm.

Ronin 10-26-2010 06:22 AM

Finally some fucking hockey tonight. But then we gotta wait again after this game til the next.

Terrible for us fans but it's great for the Canucks as it gives injured players a chance to rest and affect as few games as possible. Having Hammer and Ballard back can only help us. Having Rome and Alberts on the PP because Erhoff and Edler are already playing 25+ minutes is a problem.

Greenstoner 10-26-2010 07:23 AM

^ hammer and ballard will be back in nov ?
