Yeah he did well with the twins against LA last play-offs but that's about it.

No, you have to learn how to read. "iwantaskyline" is correct. The quote you quoted me off is just alluding to his previous success and is out of context. The base of my criticism is as-of-present. As in the guy may have a wicked shot but when Samuelsson is not scoring, he's got nothing else worthwile to contribute.

Let's look at the other examples:

When Henrik Sedin lost his goal scorer in Daniel, he's shown he can goalscore himself.

Daniel Sedin is just as capable a playmaker as he is a goal scorer.

Alex Burrows - not scoring as of late but will grind the puck possession out of the boards for his linemates; one of our premier penalty killers as well.

Ryan Kesler - may not finish goals like the twins or sammy, but has selke caliber defense and forechecks like he's still in the scrub-grinding-line.

Torres/Malhotra - Checkine line 2.0 after Burrows & Kesler's promotion to the top 2 lines; shows they can pot goals sporadically as well...

as sporadic as Samuellson. Again, I wouldn't mind Sammy's lack of goals if I saw he was making up the lack of production in other areas of his game. That's pretty much what I was trying to get at.

you should've seen him on the break away.

it was him vs the goalie only, and he shot it really high over the net.

now that was pathetic. He could've ended the game without going into OT and SO where he embarrassed himself again, if he had scored.

orange7 11-10-2010 11:08 PM

kovy is officially the most overpaid player in my book

RiceIntegraRS 11-11-2010 01:08 AM

^uummm Scott Gomez?

AzNightmare 11-11-2010 01:30 AM

Well... I guess no one's mad anymore about not trading both Sedins for Kovalchuk :troll:

I know it was 2008, but still, funny to think anyone even thought about it being a good idea for even a second.

Harvey Specter 11-11-2010 02:37 AM

Kovalchuk signing looks like it'll be the worst signing ever or rank right up there as been one of the worst unless he lights shit up and single-handedly turns this team around.

“I will make a last, last, last try,” Forsberg told the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, after playing in a charity game there. (the quotes are from the Google translation of the story).

“I’ll give a few weeks now and make a last, last, last try.”

Forsberg will do his usual routine, which is to train with MoDo of the Swedish Elite League and see how it goes.

You thought it would be over with Foppa, didn’t you. But it’s never, never, never, never quite over for Foppa.
wont be surprise if we see him in 2014 sochi winter games

The 2 teams(STL & LA) that were after Kovalchoke are at the top of the West, while NJ is at the basement of the East...ROFL
