Stamkos hasn't won anything. Seriously, stats are meaningless without some sort of accomplishment. There is no comparison...Crosby > Stamkos until he wins something.
Crosby has a Stanley Cup, an Olympic Gold Medal, a Hart, a Pearson, an Art Ross, and a Rocket Richard.
i think stamkos is good but people are taking away from stlouis. a lot of stamkos's goals are created because of stlouis's play if you were to look at the first goal against philly today that stamkos scored you'll notice that stlouis play dragged the players towards him and left stamkos alone. hes good but hes got a hell of a player playing with him as well.
So I was looking at the stands out west and it looks like it's going to be another tight year to get into the post season. So many teams are bunched up, a couple loses and you could be 9th or 10th. Factor in that most of the teams are evenly matched and it makes for a pretty exciting but nervous season.
the numbers of the aging st.louis were in decline before stamkos hit his stride and now are back up to where they were in his prime. i don't deny he has been a big help to stamkos though.
^ i'd hardly say that st. louis had a decline in production... he might have had ONE bad year outta the past like 8 or 9 seasons... he's been a pretty consistent point per game player.
and as for the stamkos vs crosby debate... crosby hands down because he's a better play maker, faceoff man, and defensive player. As a pure goal scorer, stamkos might have a very slight edge... but crosby's no slouch either.
Ovechkin will eventually rip it up and catch up to Stamkos. But Stamkos is a monster, 19 games into the season, already has 19 goals, averages out to 1 goal a game.

Yea, I thought I put that in the post lol, he's been useless for me the last 2 years after I took him with my first pick 4 years ago Posted via RS Mobile
