Well, I'll say one thing about the Flames...the way they handled the loss was classy. They requested that all three Canucks that were the three stars go out for a skate to salute the many Canucks fans in the building.
Subban takes a point shot...hits Andrei Kostityn.
Plakenec, being the good teammate that he is, decides to help him get back to the bench quicker

Heatley set franchise records for goals and points for the Sens. He gave them some of his best years. He wanted out, that's his decision. He doesn't owe them shit. I'm sure everyone has felt at one point or another they'd be happier doing what they're doing somewhere else, their local media included. He's a human who made a choice to pursue career opportunities elsewhere. Whether or not people agree with the way he left, it really is as simple as that.

By doing that, Ottawa got a lower return (Penner, Cogliano, Smid imo is better than Michalek, Cheechoo and a 2nd) and the Edmonton guys thought they were gonna get traded. Fuck Heatley, he already left 2 franchises with a sour taste in their mouth. I wouldn't be surprised to see him part with San Jose by doing something similar down the line.
Heatley told the sens that he wouldn't accept that trade, a player with a no trade clause had every right to do so
The sens went out and said the trade was done trying to force him into a corner and when he didn't accept he looked bad
I don't put much stock in the opinions/matters of bad franchises like thr sens, heatley can do whatever he wants and who the he'll wants to play in Edmonton?
