Totally disagree. He doesn't want to be there he should not have signed a long term deal. He owes them to honor the contract. If every player did what Heatley did the league would be totally fucked.

He can ask for a trade but do it privately, nobody should know except his agent and the GM of the team. If they can make it happen great, if not play until you're a free agent. When the other teams know you want out it effects what your current team can get for you in return. You are an asset to the team, when you hurt your value you hurt your team and your teamates.

Wow, the West is close. Remember when LA was first? Now they're 12th and they're only 3 points behind the Canucks. The difference between 8th and 9th in the East is 6 points.

In the West, you could seriously say that 12 of the 15 teams are good enough to make the playoffs and Minny, Calgary and Edmonton aren't really that far off.

2 years ago on a Wednesday late afternoon. I had just gotten off school at BCIT and all I could think about was the Canucks-Flames game later that night. I was so hyped that it ACTUALLY felt like a Friday or even....CHRISTMAS. Yes I said it, Christmas. A hockey game felt like the biggest holiday of the year to me. THAT'S how nuts it was.

Now the flames suuuuuuuuuuuuck, Iginla suuuuuuuuucks, Phaneuf is gooooooooooooone, there just isn't much there anymore.

Need a playoff matchup to rekindle the fire in this rivalry.
