The standings get tighter every day. Looks like there's five or six strong teams in the East this year plus Atlanta is playing well.

In the West, you really aren't going to count anyone out except the Flames and the Oilers and maybe the Wild. I mean...San Jose is 12th...and even Edmonton is on a pretty good run right now.

hmmmm, bought a pair of tickets for Wednesday's game on CL. Hopefully I didn't get scammed!

I snapped a pic of the guy's DL + Canucks ID :)

I saw your ad.. it's not within my budget since I am not a Canucks fan :p
I don't know if it's a good deal or not, but my seats are...

Sec 324, Row 12, Face = $62.16, paid $60

I watched my first hockey game in LA, and dead centre ice upper bowl was only $35.
Actually, hockey game in LA = spectators were all white, basketball game in LA = spectators were mostly black. Totally different atmosphere :D

Harvey Specter 12-06-2010 09:02 PM

Sid and the Pens are ripping shit up right now, wow.

Damn... I paid $71 for sec 318 row 13 for Wednesday's game...

Any time you pay close to face value on the season ticket holder price, I think you're getting a decent deal.

Or can be like me and just pay $45 and get to see the Naslund jersey retirement ceremony and Ohlund back in town with Stamkos & co.

;)

I have watched a few boston games and they played well in front of him. I watch alot of teams not just the canucks :P Yah he's won a vezina already but that was during a time when boston was playing extremely well ... where the fuck was he when boston sucked as a team? he's like what? nearing 40? and he's hitting his prime now.. very unlikely but possible but you would think if he was that great he would've been given a chance to play earlier in his career. i'm not saying he sucks i think he's good but not great. you guys are making him seem god like.. halak was god like during the playoffs last year.

btw why do you bother posting shit like this? i'm not allowed my opinion? I'm throwing a point out there that some people may or may not know. its a discussion board.

Why do you even bother commenting on this? Guaranteed you have not watched a single Boston game this year. Thomas benefits from a good defensive team but there have been countless games this year that he has stolen. So you're not convinced he's Vezina good? News flash, he won one already. Did Lu win one yet?

He lost his job last year because Rask played amazing, the kid was leading the NHL in save % for most of the year. If he was on the Canucks last year it'd be pretty difficult not to start him instead of Lu either.

dim_sum 12-06-2010 10:51 PM

and they're probably not gonna call up hodgson because he doesnt' fit our needs right now... we need a bottom six guy.

!Nhan 12-06-2010 10:52 PM

When did Boston suck as a team?

dim_sum 12-06-2010 11:01 PM

sidney crosby has been unbelievable

ppl have to stop sucking tim thomas' cock
to those that think a vezina changes on how we all look at a goalie. look at Jose Theodore

shawn79 12-06-2010 11:04 PM

the boston bruins are all made up of top six forwards, nobody is really a FIRST LINE player or a GAME BREAKER. The only thing on that team is their goalie who steal games for them. (goalies)

RevYouUp 12-06-2010 11:10 PM

crosby is ripping shit uppp

i think u have too much cock sucking on your mind.
objectively pointing out his current excellent statistics and a prestigious award he's won--giving credit where credit is due--is not exactly cock-sucking, imo. maybe it is in your lifestyle, i don't know.
and yes, if you have an awesome season and win a Vezina in the NHL, ppl WILL look at you differently.

He won the Vezina when they were playing extremely well? Well no shit sherlock, I'm pretty sure his outstanding season accounted for their place in the standings. Boston sucked as a team? I don't remember the last time they missed the playoffs so I can't answer that. But thats like saying Luongo sucks because the Panthers never made the playoffs with him. No one cares why he didn't make the NHL earlier, the point is he is a great goaltender right now at this moment. If Thomas is benefiting so much from Boston's almighty defense why are they 1-6 this year with Rask?

He's a late bloomer who has actually accomplished just as much as Luongo has. Yes I know Luongo doesn't have a Vezina, but I think he was robbed of it in 04-05.

Yes I am saying he is god-like right now, the only way to get a .956 save % is to play god-like. Is he going to keep it up? Probably not but even if his play dips a bit he's still the Vezina favourite.

really? consider you have Zdeno Chara on the backend for one. And consider that their #1 center Savard has been out up until about 2 games ago, they've been doing pretty damn well.

jerche 12-07-2010 04:08 AM

Here are a couple clips on Nazzy

Man I miss those games where we're down a goal and it's almost never over. Scoring on the last 30 seconds when goalie is pulled. I don't remember the last time that happened. It's always exciting with the WCE til the last second.

Ugh, I paid $150 to sit in row 9 for that game... face value was around $50! I bought my tickets the day they announced it was Naslund night though.

TRDood 12-07-2010 10:19 AM

Why is mark up so high for Nusland night? Isn't it just hanging his jersey up? Or is Tampa Bay a really good team?

Well, for starters, Naslund will be there, as well as Ohlund. And Stamkos too?

Just like Linden night, people will pay extra to be there for that particular night.

punkwax 12-07-2010 01:26 PM

Just hanging his jersey up? Like Ron Burgundy said, its "kind of a big deal."
