First NHL game and he has the balls to pull that move off. I kinda think its dumb to start the move from all the way back there, but you gotta admit, for his first game, that's some flash.

I still don't get the point of the spin move...

I guess it's just to confuse the goalie like how it is confusing me. :p

I got some news for you and you're not going to like it. The Oilers are way better than the Leafs right now and they'll continue to be better for the forseeable future because they not only have great young players, they didn't mortgage the future for right now...and the Leafs don't even have a "right now". The Leafs have one bluechip prospect in Kadri. The Oilers have a lineup full of them and a couple more on the way.

Heck, even if we don't count the rest, Jordan Eberle >>>>> any Leaf prospect.

Pretty pointless, especially if he had lost the puck there... although he would have still been able to retrieve it if it did happen.

But it probably did affect the goalie's focus, cause he let in a pretty soft one.

whatever works.

yeah you're blowing my mind with your revelations. woa is me

the leafs are shit, have been shit since the lockout, and are a long way from being good again. you're preaching to the chior. i'm thinking you missed the point of what i was saying unless there was some other reason for your comments. essentially i was saying that yes the oilers suck but at least they have highlight-reel worthy rookies to watch and look forward to while the leafs suck and all i get to watch is waffle tossing.

Yeah but....who doesn't like waffles? :troll:

It's all for show. Entertainment. "Here I am. Watch this." To do that in front of all the fans in the arena and the rest of the world, and pull it off = gold. People love to watch the likes of Ovechkin. Pure showmanship and talent to back it up. I think what threw the goalie off was the fake slap shot just before he released. Either that or the hockey gods rewarded the kid.

I was there, lineup was pretty short and it wasn't one of those restricted to signing 1 thing sessions which made it extra sweet.

Ronin 12-11-2010 02:58 PM

I walked by a little while ago. There was no line up but I had something to do.

Not like I've never met Linden anyways.

I don't know any nice way to put this so I'm just going to be direct.

You talk as if you're better than meeting with Linden. Don't, it's fucking annoying.

it's open to interpretation but i think all he meant was he's met him so many times already so he feels jaded. i don't think his intention was to say he's too good for it.

clowe 12-11-2010 05:15 PM
