Good game tonight, damn Stamkos is deadly. Ripped that shot in OT FUUUUU. At least we managed to get one point, better than nothing.

Missed everything since I had work.. Only watched part one and I already have tears in my eyes

AzNightmare 12-12-2010 12:31 AM

A lot of the people in our section was kinda choked that Ohlund didn't speak

I don't know if they showed it during the TV broadcast but they played an Ohlund tribute video during one of the snow bunny intermissions. The whole crowd stood up and clapped and cheered for a long time. Ohlund kept skating around and waving his hand while players from both benches tapped their sticks.

He should have never left the team :(

^a fitting tribute to a great player and great person in Ohlund.
As for the naslund jersey retirement: people can say whether or not he deserved the honour, etc etc, but after it's done don't you just feel great for the guy, the club, and canucks fans all around?
growing up, being a young kid i never had the chance to witness linden's/smyl's impact on canucks hockey, so naslund was what drew me to watching the canucks, and undoubtedly one of my favourite players. tonight was definitely bittersweet, and boy oh boy would i have killed to be at that game!

I don't know...I was at the game.

You can tell the fans here in Vancouver still love the guy. He got one of the loudest cheers from the crowd even though Ohlie no longer plays with us.

Naslund > Linden > Ohlund > Bmo> Bert> Cloutier > Jovo in terms cheering/clapping

are you kidding me? jovo is waaaaaaaay ahead of cloutier. I doubt there would be boos for jovo but I'm sure there would be TONS of boos for Cloutier.

Even now I know so many people calling for his head.
