There will never be another Trevor Linden...we can only hope that someone on this team emerges with half the heart and soul that guy had. Linden was never the best player but he elevated his game when we needed him...and that's what the Canucks lack right now.

Im still hoping that Gillis makes a 1yr offer to Mitchell if he signs cheap. If he has injury problems, his contract will not fully count against the cap. But when he's on his game, he faces the opposing teams top line and still manages a great +/- rating.

Get rid of pylon Alberts as well.. Team 1040 was saying its possible that the Canucks will buy him out but that doesn't do much to our cap.

I can see Bieksa's value being decent....there are not very many decent to good Dmen with a right hand shot in the league....so they are a rare commodity.

If we can get a forward for him that is gritty and tough who lays the body out....FUCK YA!

Just throw him in the minors, you still gotta pay him but then it doesn't count towards the cap.

Our D is STACKED now. I can't wait for the season to start because the overall depth of this team has shot up and should help them big time playoff time.

I'm a casual hockey fan (didn't know about the Hawks' cap problems until late last year!), so I've been watching the death by papercut process that the Blackhawks are suffering right now with interest. It looks like some people have been quite critical of Dale Tallon in the process. I don't really understand it.
