I love that the Leafs have banned Waffle Guy from games and the police have charged him with mischief. And they call Vancouver a no fun city.... |
Mr Waffleman crossed the line when he threw them during an in process play |
HE'S...THROWING... WAFFLES How can anyone take that as anything but a joke? He's not throwing garbage or plastic beer cups. ...WAFFLES! The Leafs would've done themselves a favor if they just ROFLed about it and moved on. Instead, they've made it all serious. Hey, the product you put on the ice isn't any fun to watch...now that a fan has done something hilarious they shit all over it. |
Interfering with the play is auto-ban. I thought that would be common knowledge. So, someone can throw waffles whenever the other team gets a good scoring chance? You wanna throw something, wait for the whistle. You might get tossed, but I doubt you'd get a lifetime ban. |
Yeah, if he threw 'em during a stoppage, he wouldn't get in that much crap. Much less effective though... |
This may turn into the new Detroit octopus. |
Remember when some guy threw a sweater in 2004 that actually helped lead to matt cooke's buzzer beating goal against the flames? Anyways that guys prob Sooo regretting it. Was that worth never seeing a hockey game at air Canada centre again??? Nope Posted via RS Mobile |
It would nice if the NHL had a few marquee games on Christmas similar to what the NBA does on Christmas. |

That would be very serious if it had affected a play during the playoffs. Quote:
He can save his money and do that at home on TV instead. :troll: |

If you ask me, disrupting the play isn't a joke. |

interfere play during breakaway? :troll: |
I think the ban wasn't so much to do with endangering players or messing with the live game as it was that it was completely embarrassing the organization and they had to make a point to stop any more waffles lol Posted via RS Mobile |

Haven't seen Wild Pacific Salmon thrown on ice for quite some time in Vancouver. Then again, we haven't made it past round two in a long time, LOL. |
looks like parise wants out of new jersey for sure. not rushing himself to help the team, hello hometown minnisota wild ? http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=346778 |
Dont forget whos running the front office in Toronto, we have the best american german and swedish born player on our team right now anyways... http://i.neoseeker.com/mgv/317799-fi...an_display.jpg |

Not that I don't think Parise wants to go, though. I don't think the Devils can afford to have him and Kovalchuk on the payroll...it's just too much money tied up in two guys that aren't Crosby and Malkin or Ovechkin and Backstrom. Plus NJ has LW out the ass that don't want to play on the RW. |

If I wasn't a Canuck fan, I would have been raging all over on that play. Shirt landed on the ice after Iginla released his empty net attempt... but regardless, I would have expected a stoppage in play, and maybe faceoff on the right circle. Stick chopped out of hands? Are you allowed to do that? |
