doesn't anyone else here think that Gillis has ... suggested ... to AV that he should let Bieksa join the rush/start the rush more? ... that was my immediate thought from 10 games or whatever it was ago when he started to become noticeable.

i may or may not be imagining things, but i totally think that they are trying to raise his value. anyone else think that or am i just on crazy pills?

No. he has always joined/started the rush. this is why sometimes he gets trapped, the other times he gets trapped is cuz he pinches at bad times

Bieksa's problem is that he was placed into a highly defensive shutdown roll at the beginning of the season. THATS NOT HIS GAME. hes always been a pinching, in on the rush, offensive Dman. of course hes going to have trouble being put in a role hes not made for

Love the standings. Canucks 1 point behind Detroit for first in the West with 1 game in hand (2 points on the table). And 3 points behind the Pens for forst in the League with 3 games in hand (6 points on the table). And 2 points behind Philly with 1 game in hand (2 poitns on the table)

With the games evened up, if the Canucks and Philly win, they are tied for First in the league.
