Glad to see we're 1st in the league.

Now it's time to brace ourselves for a tough January schedule. Here's hoping we pull through fine.

Pic isn't that clear - are there 4 Avs in front of the net area?

trancehead 01-02-2011 10:21 PM

We should be sent a draft pick if there was actually 7 men iced:troll:

spoon.ek9 01-02-2011 10:25 PM

great win tonight and while it's nice to be #1 in the standings, i'd say it's more important to be the better team on the ice on any given night. tonight was close! very happy to see the 4th line win a game for us and Lu's strong play of late. it's extra awesome that schneider is playing well too, and winning games as our reliable backup!

jsoni 01-02-2011 10:35 PM

Lol @ tampa's -1 goal differential

to me, the position the canucks are in shows signs of improvement from the past decade.
With 2 games in hand of the wings, the thread to pull no1 by 4 clear points is a big statement to the moral inside the locker room. Its almost been the same core group of guys in the past 3/4 years so i mean. Nothing but praise from me

Its a great bday gift to me as well!:fuckyea:

with the canucks this hot, I'm glad they're in such a condensed schedule...keep the good play rolling

maybe they pulled their coach for an extra attacker

Canucks haven't played their A game the last couple games. This is how hot streaks go. Get outplayed by the opposition yet manage to win 2 pts. During losing streaks we can be the far better team yet somehow lose... Soak it in while you can and brace yourselves for the "oh noes! trade Lu!! fire AV!!" standard Vancouverite BS when we cool off lol

As for yesterday, we couldn't lose. My 1.5 y/o daughter typed luu in my bberry when she was playing with it. I was wearing my LUUU shirt from that website someone posted here so she missed a U. Guess I can stop saving for her education :troll:

:fuckyea:

It seems like we're on a slump right now, yet we're still winning games. ;)

so glad we have two top tier goalies to bail us out for the past 2 games.

I still couldn't really understand why raymond was placed on the 4th line yesterday? I mean, raymond could be a first liner on some nhl teams. **cough cough laffs

i guess this is called depth.

^im guessing they wanna manage his minutes. He hasnt played in almost a month and the 4th line is the perfect way to slowly get ur legs back. Plus having a guy like him on there for now will make AV less hesitant to put that line out there. Especially with this upcoming demanding schedule, he has to roll all 4 lines.

If you believe the newspapers, Vigneault doesn't want to push Hansen down from the 2nd line, because he's been playing well (and he has, IMO).

There is of course also getting Raymond back up to speed... and probably also means that Raymond would be fresher for the PK.

Schneids in net tonight

seems like kesler is still questionable for tonight's game.
His ironman streak is on the line.

It's not that we aren't playing hard , its because we score first all the time. It's natural for sports teams to sit back and take it easy if ur up on the score. We can play a more open style of hockey. This this team doesnt mind trading goals unlike last year were we always had to come back from an opponents lead

i guess this is called depth.
