They were definitely looking tired after so many games this week. Really the Flames should have got one or two earlier in the 3rd when they were pouring it on.

I agree... we're hot right now - but the streak will end. I give the team credit for doing so well, especially with so many games these past few nights... - but it's going to be very, very tough to hold a lead for the rest of the season. Especially with Detroit, Dallas, and San Jose breathing down your neck.

I think we on the west coast need to stop with the inferiority complex. I see the same sentiment being echoed on other sports comment forums. Who cares if we don't get press? As long as the really important people who watch the games (sports writers, coaches, GMs, etc.) know that we're good, it will work out in the end. Henrik Sedin did win the Hart trophy last year, didn't he?
If anything, having more press about the team just attracts the trolls who will take any opportunity to bash the team, the city, the fans (and believe me, some of the insults are deserved), and so on.
I like that we're under their radar/they don't write much about us. The only time I get annoyed is when there's no game on Sportsnet and they don't show it on an Eastern channel.

I personally hate these spin moves.
They look cool, but puck is definitely not in continuous forward motion,
player basically does a full stop right in front of the net...
In some cases, the player even makes contact blocking off the goalie in the process.
The move takes skill, maybe good for breakaways, but I think penalty shots have
different rules, such as no rebounds and puck needs to be in continuous forward motion...
am I wrong?
I don't believe a goalie can save this anyway... players just have to screw up on their own.

LOL, probably 8 or 9 years ago when Naslund was on fire had the scoring lead and the Canucks were doing great I was thinking the samething. I randomly wrote this long rant and emailed it off to g_bettman@nhl.com or something like that hoping that it would be his email.
No shit, a couple days later I got an email back from Bettman that wasn't generic at all. It was probably 4 paragraphs and he also had the person responsible for the website content call me. It was pretty funny, I couldn't believe 1) that he got my email and 2) that he actually read it, responded and forwarded my gripe to the proper person.
I wish I saved the email.
