Both goalies played spectacular, blocked shots must be one of the huge stories in this game |
|
Nice try |
FUCK But you have to give the Rangers credit. They put pressure on the puck and took away the passing lanes. They were the better team tonight and we are lucky score was so close, Schneider played a awesome game and we were only in it because of him. We can't win them all but hopefully they are pissed off and play strong against the Caps tomm. |
Oh well, shit happens. There's always tomorrow. |
Gotta give those damn rangers credit tonight. Hopefully we'll bounce back tmr. |
i applaud their effort in the last minute the canucks of yesteryear wouldve been scored on their empty net |

I have to give it to the Rangers. they took away the passing lanes and kept it out of their zone for the most part. Schneider played better than Lundqvist (sans the 1 give away) because he stopped much better shots but it goes without saying, the 'Nucks didn't give themselves many good scoring chances either. Like I said right when the game started, they looked pretty flat for the most part. Lose and learn. I hope they're hungered up and ready for the Caps tomorrow. |

he was failed for even thinking the thought |
Rangers pretty much trapped the whole game almost, clogged up the blue line.. nothing by the canucks.. NOTHING |
Now you see how dumb it sounds to blame a goalie for a loss when the team as the whole took the loss. Posted via RS Mobile |
In a 1-0 shutout lost, you dont usually blame the goalie you blame the forwards for not scoring |
Goalies were fine... |

Oh well... I definitely had a big feeling this would be the one they lose... put $2 that Rangers would win in regulation to win $3.30. High rollin'! |
We're not going to win every single game. The Canucks still have a single digit loss column more than halfway through the season. We were outplayed by the Rangers and we didn't get to play our game. I'm not worried about the loss as much as the way we lost. It was evident the Canucks got outmuscled and outhustled on a lot of plays. The Rangers blocked a lot of shots and had a hell of a lot more grit than us. That's what playoff hockey is like and it looked like the Canucks were still trying to play their finesse game rather than grinding it out. Not worried. Slightly disappointed but hey...we're still the best team in the league. Parade is still on. |
sometimes a loss is the best thing that can happen to a club. we'll just have to see how the guys react in tmrw's game. |
Played like shit TBH. That unbeaten in regulation streak was going to end sooner or later anyways, they can't play perfect/win every game so no point on bitching. |

I didn't really see them having a hard time gaining the zone more than they did penetrating the perimeter. I mean sometimes it just gets wayyyy too painful watching (even the Sedins) fail to center the puck, and the odd times it goes through, Burrows or whoever else is wayyy too tied up with the D to make something out of it. I'm not sure if I recall well, but last year, I saw more weaving in & out of the front from both Daniel and Burrows; but hey, its 1 loss in an otherwise successful season thus far so I doubt they'll feel the need to change their current game. |

Brutal lost and game tonight. Only bright side was the play of Cory but rest of the game was a snooze fest and the Canucks look so out of it but I guess we had to lose eventually. Hopefully we have a bounce back game tomorrow night. |
In addition to a few of you, even the announcers on 1040 tried to jinx Lundqvist by talking about his potential shutout at the start of the 3rd period. :lol |
