for half his salary a team would pick him up no questions asked. Would Edmonton have to pay half only this year or the rest of his contract? |

its worth it just picking him up for that then. |
thats most likely what everyone is waiting for, although if you dumped him in the minors you would think the oilers would try to spite him and leave him down there for a bit lol |
they do have experience dealing with players wanting to leave (i.e Pronger). Lowe said something about regretting trading Pronger so I'm sure they will probably leave Souray to dry in Edmonton. |

Last season he had 41 goals and 44 assists for 85 points in 76 games. In 27 games with the Devils he managed to go plus 9 and had 10 goals 17 assists (point a game player). In the playoffs he got 2 goals 4 assists in 5 games for the Devils. Everything was their in New Jersey except chemistry. That would have come with time. He was there a few months. The guy is a stud. If you're getting a point a game you're definitely good.. but are you 10 million dollars good? fuck no. |
It almost seems like everything is being held up by where kovalchuk signs. I just wish he would make a decision sooner than later |
for the amount of money Kovy wants, i dont think too many teams are in the running for his services. If he wants the money hes not gonna win, and if he wants to win hes not gonna get the money. The only place where i can see him going for a decent chance at both is the Kings |

With the cap era, guys that have great defensive ability with some offensive upside are guys you want. ie: Shea Weber |
All this D talk makes me giddy thinking that we now have Ballard and Hamhuis hehehehehe. The real question is which one will wear #2???? |
Hamhuis cuz hes the local boy, maybe they both will not wear #2? |
All our dmen should wear the number 3 ;) |
Ballard looks fine with #3 he can be the next KB3 |
Well Ballard was a Canuck first.... lol Really doesn't matter to me though. Was Ballard ever a #3 at one point? I think Hamhuis was always a #2. |
