benier and quick

quick can be traded for the missing piece for their cup run hahah

AzNightmare 07-05-2010 02:20 AM

Sometimes it doesn't really matter if you have all the pieces on paper that makes a stanley cup team if injuries or playoff slumps come into play.

Bernier. During the playoffs they were saying that Bernier is the guy the Kings want as a starter.

And from June 30th...

Teams Canada: Canadiens, Canucks in best shape heading into UFA day

Quote:

Vancouver Canucks Last, but certainly not least, the Canucks can claim the title as Canada’s best team (although don’t expect Canadiens fans to agree). Once RFA Mason Raymond(notes) is re-signed, Vancouver’s top two lines are in good shape. Could they use another scorer to take the heat off of the Sedins? Of course, especially if they want to keep pace with the West’s best. But the Canucks are more likely to get help for the third and fourth lines, and maybe a defenseman capable of stepping into the top-four. Vancouver has nearly $10 million to spend, and look for GM Mike Gillis to do what he can to help his club get past the team’s playoff hurdle that is the Chicago Blackhawks.

No shit.... that's why the article says "Report".

But all sports site says it will so...they are most likely correct unless something major happens

i like himas a player but Kovy is scared to go to the West!! He knows he won't be effective as in the East...

Bouncing Bettys 07-05-2010 12:01 PM

if kovalchuk signs, the devils would be very close to the 10% over the cap allowed in the offseason.

trancehead 07-05-2010 12:09 PM

Big mistake on NJ's part if they decide to sign him. Unless they have some emerging warhorse of a defenseman i havn't heard of, they're going to be really unbalanced between the forwards and D

Jackwimmer 07-05-2010 12:12 PM

id be surprised if they do
apparently parise's contract expires soon and it would be hard to resign him after

Gt-R R34 07-05-2010 12:35 PM

Kovy or Parise?

I'd take kovy though.

Ch28 07-05-2010 12:48 PM

Parise

He can score, plays a good 2 way game and will come in at least 2-3 mill cheaper for similar production in terms of points

Oh yeah, he's not a greedy russian either

shawn79 07-05-2010 01:17 PM

Volchenkov, Tallinder, White and Greene aren't too bad. The only thing is they're gonna have problems re-signing Parise, Greene and Langenbrunner after next season.

Not really racist! 07-05-2010 01:40 PM

Say good bye to NJ's core next season then

411ken 07-05-2010 01:44 PM

With the new coach/system... having Parise/Kovalchuk play the whole year will bring some magic if he does sign there.

They can try and trade Brian Rolston somewhere if they can.. the guy makes 5million something!! And i'm sure they will not be crying if they can't sign Langenbrunner.. and Arnott comes off the hook next year too.

RIP Probert. He was a major ass-kicker back in the day.

Kev

Not too surprised about Probert given all his cocaine and alcohol abuse issues in the past, but those wars he had back in the day with Grimson and Crowder where amazing.
