adding black does make the bolts look tougher and seems like tampa is digging what canucks did having the city in the front

Before the injuries and setbacks maybe, but can't see Hodgon exploding like Stamkos did. Definitely seems like he'll need a couple of years like Kesler or the Sedins.

I sincerely hope that is the case
we all saw Cody explode at the WJC
he'll get a modest start on the 4th line today. sounds like he'll be with us for a while just because expecations arnt that high for a 4th line centre

Hondaracer 02-01-2011 11:27 AM

Cody is done son

shawn79 02-01-2011 11:34 AM

Cody hodgson didn't even skate much during thw wjc, only tavares and eberle were flying on the wing.

Seeing letang staal and kopitar at the all star game makes me :(, wondering how much potenial would bourdon have...he'd be our top pairing right now

Ikkaku 02-01-2011 11:48 AM

bourdon and edler? BEASTLY :(

tho I often wondered how different our D-core would be if it never happened

mako 02-01-2011 11:52 AM

Remember that time he took a slap shot and scored and the puck it got stuck in the nets mesh. Awesome

Brothers AND sisters... Erin Hamhuis' blog:
http://canucks.nhl.com/club/post.htm?id=237

Quote:

What do you get when you combine the Vancouver Canucks with five sisters, 11 brothers and two brother-in-laws? A siblings road trip! In total 18 guests are traveling with the Canucks to Dallas and Phoenix this week on the Siblings Trip and Canucks.com is fortunate to have Erin Hamhuis, sister of Dan Hamhuis, as a guest blogger for the adventure.

I’ve never really blogged before, but I’ve never been on a road trip with the Vancouver Canucks either, so it only makes sense to start now.

I’m Erin Hamhuis, Dan Hamhuis’ younger sister, and I’m lucky enough to be on the road with the Canucks right now for the siblings’ trip! Dan first brought this up I think in November, he called and asked if I could get time off from the Credit Union I work at in Smithers, BC, and there was no question, I was very excited and said of course I’d come.
It's a pretty good read :)

Not an unattractive lady, either:

Edit: is it any wonder Vancouver is becoming one of the THE teams of choice for players? Some of the best lockerrooms and training facilities anywhere in the league, cushy charter flights, and now they're regularly taking family members along (it was dads a couple years ago, moms another time), and laying all kinds of little perks on them:

Quote:

Anyways, after we got to Dallas Monday afternoon, we went to practice with the team and that’s where we kind of met everybody. The team gave us all jerseys with our brother’s name on the back, which was nice, and then we went to the hotel, got settled, had a team plus siblings picture and then the team took us out for dinner to a really really nice steakhouse. We sat at the table and just goofed around and enjoyed our meal and it was really nice. It was very comfortable too and it was really nice of the Canucks to take care of us the way they did; it was pretty special.
This is one of the benefits of having a former player agent as a GM: he knows the kinds of *little things* that players like, things beyond just the paycheck that you can use to entice them.

You can't judge someone dressed in casual clothes on a plane. Let's hold off on judgement until we can see a good pic. She at least looks stacked which is a plus in my books ;)

I know... I mentioned his name because a previous user said "small players can't compete in the NHL"

And another user said the Twins could and I mentioned St. Louis could compete as a small guy aswell.

Had nothing to do with me saying he was slow

Hondaracer 02-01-2011 02:26 PM

The reasons listed above by Soundy are the reasons why Edmoton is not going to win a cup in the next 10 years, nor even contend for one

in a Salary cap era such as this, intangibles are HUGE for a teams success, people who think Edmonton is going to even be in the running for a championship in the next 10 arent seeing the big picture, let alone their "prized" picks are TINY, you dont win with a roster full of small players regardless of how good they are

Edmonton wont win for alot of the same reaons why the Toronto Raptors will never win a championship, it's all about the intangibles.

DanHibiki 02-01-2011 02:34 PM

Man tambellini was doing so well too :(. He had like 15 points in 21 games but went like 1 pt in the last 15 or so games?

Expresso 02-01-2011 03:25 PM

They have a good assest wasting away in the minors that could add some much needed skill and size to their club too. T

Probably why he hasn't solidified himself in any club yet.
