im imagining it, and i would still have the sedins+burrows over those 3.
Iggy, good, not great. Spezza is talented but wth man how can you not score alongside alfredson, so dissappoint.
and Tanguay, are u kidding me, flames fans
heck forget the sedins, the line has TANGUAY on it.
Sorry, I must've missed the memo where the Art Ross, Richard Trophy x2, Pearson Award, Clancy Memorial Trophy, and Campbell Bowl, and whatever else I'm forgetting... are "good, not great". Oh, and let's not forget about Alex Tanguay's Stanley Cup.
Pre-emptively, you'll probably comment on how that stuff was years ago, so let's just say that this year, Iginla is 57 pts in 61 games playing with Alex "are u kidding me" Tanguay who has 45 in 58 (while making 1.7 mil) and 35-year-old Brendan Morrison, who makes 725,000.
As for Spezza, he's been a huge scorer at every level he's played at, and I don't see how production alongside Alfredsson is a downside? Might that not indicate that he'd be productive with another winger, say, Iginla, on his wing instead?
Who ever said anything about the Sedins? I didn't even bring them up until you mentioned them. Congrats on your fantastic first line, but if you sit there and tell me that Tanguay/Spezza/Iginla isn't a huge upgrade on an already-successful Tanguay/Morrison/Iginla trio, then you're out of your mind.
Incidentally, Calgary's top line makes 9.425 this season, compared to 14.2 mil for your first line.
Anyway, I'll probably get failed for making this post, but whatever. If you're going to slam the Flames, don't be stupid about it.
I want to bring a generic jersey on Wed and have most of the team sign it but I feel like an idiot going around and asking the players for their autographs.

It might be a once in a lifetime thing to be able to get autographs like that. I say bring the jersey and go for it.
Worst part is, that's not even my full collection!

Can't go wrong with a free Habs jersey!
Question is, is that even really Pyatt's twitter or just like the mass # of fake nhler's twitter pages created by fans and ppl with nothing to do. NHLPA official twitter maintains a official list of real NHLers twitters, this was tweeted by Bob McKenzie a couple days ago http://twitter.com/#!/nhlpa/activeplayers/members, don't see Tom Pyatt there.
dont worry, some of these canucks fans think their the best thing since sliced bread...some actually are normal NHL fans.
Every year you hear the same things from them, yet they come up empty handed. This year is especially, since they are in first in the league, they think their gods gift to hockey, and they probably wont get a stanley cup...so they will continue being cocky and arrogant next year, even though they have no championship to previously use as a foundation to start their beaking from, but i guess its cool to come in first in the regular season, than to come in first in the stanley cup playoffs...to each their own.
But that being said, I do concur they have the best first line in the league and they are they favourites for the cup this year...and who knows if they will get it; congrats if they do. I dont think they will get it until they are an underdog. they dont handle pressure overly well(heres where a canucks fan will step in and say 'look at the regular season and having no d and we still win, wait till we are healthy and we will kick ass') unfortunately you dont watch hockey very often....playoffs is absolutely nothing similar to the regular season. i dont know how many times recently that the first place team in the league has won the stanley cup...maybe 2 times in the past 16 years.
I think they need to stop only watching canucks hockey games. I dont know how iggy is only good.......that has to be the stupidest(i know it isnt a real word) thing i have ever heard.
But maybe having the only player in the league to have 12-50+ (11-60+) point seasons and 9(will be 10) 30+ goal season...is just unlucky...well get outside your bubble.
the canucks would fucking drool for tanguay who has 16g 29A for 1.5mil or 1.7mil whatever he is getting paid
And yes, spezza does have a high price tag, but even though you cant deny he is a threat of a player...and i think a nice change of scenery would be nice for him, he would be a great upgrade to the current first line, then we can put morrison back to second line and so on. hence why we got rid of our 4th line center. Morrison has amazing chemistry with everyone and is a great pickup for his price tag.
/end rant

DOOD, you are in a Canucks thread what the hell did you expect. Of course the majority's opinion is going to be biased! It be the same damn thing if this was a Calgary Flames thread or something.
