Seriously, what the hell is up with the Canucks offense? How can the highest scoring team in the league suddenly start sucking like this? They've been looking absolutely terrible in their last dozen games. It seemed like earlier in the season, they were scoring at will... with two potent scoring lines, and the 3rd and 4th chipping in occassionally. Now, NOBODY can score.

What the hell?

I sure damn hope they find their scoring touch in the next while in time for the playoffs... because they're not going to last very long playing like this. Many other teams are now starting to get hot, but the Canucks are going the other direction... not cool.

Maybe the poll of players during the All Star Weekend was correct. Canucks are overrated. I hope not..............over achieve is more accurate than overrated. Luongo is overrrated, LOLOLOLOL

i was thinking the exact same thing......

dL 03-03-2011 09:07 PM

Being the best team in the league, everybody will analyze you and play you hard every game. Everybody wants to bring you down. That's why nobody will always be the best as there will always be competition.

Also, as we approach the end of the season, most teams are trying their hardest to win every game as every point counts towards securing a spot in the playoff.

We just need to refocus, and perhaps be more creative and innovative with our plays so that we can stay better and stay ahead of other teams.

Just look at Philly... still haven't gotten more points than we do.

W, L, W, L is better than L, L, L, L. Can't win them all.

But I will whine if they lose many in a row. :troll:

but not as overrated as tim horton's coffee though that's for sure :)

AzNightmare 03-03-2011 09:58 PM

What's wrong with Tim Horton's coffee?
I'm drinking one RIGHT NOW. :lol

I don't drink there often, so I forget to roll up the rim, and chucked out my cup last time.
man... I could have won a Matrix... ;)

TRDood 03-03-2011 10:15 PM

Canucks are trolling us right now. I am just thinking that they want to conserve energy and health for the playoffs. :troll:

Similar to what Kobe is doing for LA all season. Why play 110% and risk getting injuries when playoff spot is secured?

However, I was at the game today... oh man, was it ever boring. No one was cheering, nothing.

orange7 03-03-2011 11:18 PM

so does this mean we will win the next game?

From AV: Bieksa and Higgins are expected to join the team at some point on the upcoming road trip.
Good News :)

the game changes as the season goes on.. what worked before won't always work because of competition, esp at this part of the season where things get tighter

this happens every year

Then all the more reason to pad your stats and finish on top. Means, that every series match up, Canucks will be facing the lowest seed possible; more home games per series.

If one is looking to idealize one's playoff situation, seems counter-intuitive not to finish as high as possible. A tougher road in the playoffs = more likely for injuries "during" the playoffs no?

Greenstoner 03-04-2011 07:41 AM

im not worry at all......

are you guys expecting them to have another 7 or 8 games winning streak ? Those are rare, you should be laughing we are at .500 and there hasnt been a team creep up on us yet on the standing.

top 3 standing in the league hasnt changed for awhile... what does it tell u , other teams arent doing so great either

chill out for a month .. lets get wild in the playoff

im expecting first round exit or stanley cup champ

DanHibiki 03-04-2011 07:59 AM

As long as we get hot going into the playoffs. That's all I care about.

Gumby 03-04-2011 08:06 AM

Going on a road trip now seems like the best thing that could happen...

illicitstylz 03-04-2011 08:41 AM

it was my first canucks game last night, sat behind luongo for 2 periods row 18.

most surprising thing about my first canucks game experience.

the chicks there are both hot and knowledgeable about hockey.

Yeah lots of eye candy at the game...

Don't forget, guys, the game starts at 1:00 pm on Saturday.

Yea, but the problem is 4th-10th teams in the West are getting almost the same points. That makes the Canucks indifferent between those teams as they don't even know what the playoff picture will look like.

What I am saying is... why waste all their energy now when playoffs are guaranteed thing. Let the 4th-10th seeds battle it out and strike with a healthy, full bench.

Thanks for the reminder... I knew this, but then forgot.

Was just talking over dinner plans for a surprise party for tomorrow, and was mentioning how the guy with the birthday is a big hockey fan, so would probably want to go somewhere with the game on... but I guess don't have to worry about that anymore.

You're not going to get a healthy & full bench. Considering the team is only $950 under the cap, this is the best the team gets no?

I mean when, if, should, or could we get Edler or Bieksa back, you don't get those guys back without losing equally monetary valuable pieces on the team correct?

sonick 03-04-2011 12:05 PM

Damn early start, I have nothing to do tomorrow night now... :alone:
