I don't think the Hawks can even afford the buyout cap hit, they'll likely just loan him to an European team like the Caps did with Nylander to just totally get his salary off their books with no cap hit.

The Chicago Blackhawks have decided to match the 4-year, $14 million offer sheet given to Niklas Hjalmarsson, by the San Jose Sharks.
So from what I've read, the Hawks have $113,410 in cap space and 15 players under contract. That can't be right...Even if they sent Huet's 5,625,000 contract down to the AHL, they still only have $5,738,410 with 14 players signed.
They are probably thinking, Tallon fucked us up! But hey, at least they won the cup. I hope another GM doesn't bail them out and take Campbell's contact off their hands. It does look like Sharp is in play which could be a huge loss.
