I'm not saying that I was such a victim. I'm sure it happens everywhere and I'm cool with putting up with it; it's just shit to have to worry about your own safety when you just go to watch a game. Can't help it when you put sports fans and alcohol together. And yes, we did get challenged to fights as well. The dude in the Simmonds jersey in the pic kept turning around to us wanting to scrap. |
cant believe its been 7 years http://www.news1130.com/news/local/a...s-sucker-punch VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - It was seven years ago today that a sucker punch from former Vancouver Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi ended the hockey career of then Colorado Avalanche player Steve Moore. Bertuzzi was suspended and eventually traded by the Canucks. He bounced around the league for a while, before finally landing in the Motor City to play for the Detroit Red Wings. Steve Moore had a cracked vertebrae and hasn't played another a minute of hockey. He's still waiting to have a civil suit against Bertuzzi and the former owner of the Canucks heard in Toronto. Sportsnet Radio's Rick Dhaliwal in the News1130 Sports Centre remembers a dark night. "How do you forget that night? You've been covering hockey for 20 years and it's one of those nights that will always stick out. I just remember the next day, it was the NHL trade deadline and all they wanted to talk about was the Bertuzzi-Moore incident." Dhaliwal adds that it is unfortunate the way the incident played out. "It's a brain injury and you know Todd Bertuzzi, since the Moore incident, has made $20 million and he still plays in the NHL. Steve Moore, you've got to feel for him, he has not played the game of hockey ever since that night." Bertuzzi is suing his then-coach Marc Crawford, claiming he told him to go after Moore. |
Oh man those videos rock. Got the chills during the anthem video. Awesome. Wow Bertuzzi suing Crawford? |
Speaking of Bertuzzi, if any of you are fans, 17 Hours Warehouse has Bertuzzi figurines on sale for $4.99. Only problem is, he's in a Canucks uni. |

happy to hear rypien is ready to play again, but we probably don't need him in our line up anymore. |
I don't know where he would really fit in. If he came back today, the only person I could see him replacing would be Oreskovch. Maybe he'd get called back in a gritty playoff series? IDK. Love watching him fight and great heart but as stated, I don't think he fits in right now. |
So does anyone know why he took personal leave? Posted via RS Mobile |
smoking rock |
/insert rypien + sheen drug joke |
rypien was winning with sheen |
Apparently sheen had to teach rypien the healing ways of closing your eyes and instantly losing your addiction. This along with a healthy amount of tigerblood has put rypien on a path to succeed. |

$25 retail but I might need 5 or 6. http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/M...921/story.html Raymond out, Oreskovich in, Tamby to play beside Kesler. Oh and Winnipeg Coyotes more of a possibility...???? Sounds weird. |
^ let me know if therres a group buy. I maybe interested. |

If they move back to Winnipeg I hope they change the name back too. T shirts available here for $25: http://blvdskateshop.com/album/1/20 Lots of stock as of this afternoon. |
Being from Winnipeg I was a massive jets fan growing up. I moved out here in 89 and I think the only good thing about the jets leaving is it made me that much of a stronger canucks fan. If they do come back I will still be a jets fan but I bleed green and blue Posted via RS Mobile |
