I just hope it wasn't a farmed Atlantic Salmon he threw on the ice, 'cause that would be a curse.

so we are 1 for 2(stanley cupwise) when beating you.

it seems whichever one of us wins the round goes to the finals everytime

In all honesty, Id give Stamkos a good look for the MVP. TB hasnt made the playoffs in 3 years. This year they are on pace for 22 points more than they had last season and 30 more goals. If he would have kept his pace and beat Daniel for the Art Ross, I think hed be a shoe in. Hes damn near carying the team himself. Aside from Marty STL, the next closest player has half as many points.

i wonder how many points/goals crosby wouldve got if he was healthy

i was imagining that myself. When I look at individual success that makes a team holistically better, first person that comes to mind is not Daniel Sedin to me. Crosby carried his team on his back before getting knocked out, KESLER did as well a while back, and Toews seems to be doing the same as of now.

Historically the Hart is given to the Art Ross winner...but this year i have a feeling its going to be different (if daniel wins that is). Stamkos would also be a great candidate

He was on pace to 136 points I believe.

I'm sure he could hit 150 the way he was going.

I agree. Also, I think the fact that we have had three players carry the team (Sedins + Kes) will split the votes for Daniel.

if it had to be a tampa player, i'd say Marty... alot of stamkos' goals comes from marty's hard work. if you watch a lot of hte replays its st louis feeding him the one timer or a nice pass after he gets by a couple players.

What do you mean?

Ronin 03-16-2011 01:19 AM

The Hart is flawed in my opinion just like how the Norris always goes to a D-man with offensive numbers rather than a good defensive player. Winning games is about so much more than scoring goals. You look at every team and usually the best offensive player is the most valuable but sometimes that just isn't true.

I honestly haven't seen enough TB games but there's no way Stamkos wins it over Daniel. They're in very similar situations. They both have a setup man that's close in points and they're not known for being defensive stalwarts so based on offense, Daniel > Stamkos.

so whos ur take on the hart? if it came down that this..St.Louis and Thomas are very capable.

Razor Ramon HG 03-16-2011 01:24 AM

Perhaps this year, history will be made.

Henrik = Art Ross and Hart Trophy - 2009/2010
Daniel = Art Ross and Hart Trophy - 2010/2011

Hmm.. sounds pretty awesome.

The Hart is a tough one in the NHL because if you look at most teams, their MVP is usually the goalie. I think that's why the Hart is usually just given to the highest scorer. If Daniel finishes top scorer, he's got it in the bag. Only player I see having a chance of winning it besides Daniel (if he's top scorer) is Thomas.

shawn79 03-16-2011 03:05 AM

even better debate, whos gonna win the calder?

couture
grabner
skinner
crawford Drafted in 2003 - hes playing in front of the 2010 stanley cup team; should he even be mentioned?

orange7 03-16-2011 04:02 AM

my vote goes to grabner for having a postive rating in a shitty team.
