well, Schneider has proven capable of winning games
with similar numbers as Luongo...
I wouldn't be surprised if we lock the presidents with Schneider.

This is great, Luongo gets lots of rest for playoffs, no excuse for him
to shit the bed this time.

TheKingdom2000 03-16-2011 01:27 PM

We need luongo game ready. We don't need him rested.
Since we will most likely finish first we will be playing an eight placed team that is still hungry. They have been playing playoff hockey for their last 10 games.
We need luongo to be in the zone.

And I don't feel luongo will be in the zone if he hasn't been game prepped. Luongo should play at LEAST the last two games of our season. Just so he still has the ice running through his veins. At least that way it might take off some pressure on him to do well.

If he goes into the playoffs without game experience I think he'll put too much pressure on himself to win etc. and that will be detrimental. Time off isn't always the best thing. People usually have too much time to think and question themselves or put more pressure/stress on them then if they are distracted doing what they do. And luongo just needs to play the way we all know he can.

At the end of the day, it comes down to him. I will NOT knock you in the playoff's lu, I don't care if you let in a crap goal! Only positive reinforcement from me. From experience, negative reinforcement isn't the best remedy.

Sources tell TSN Toronto Maple Leafs senior vice president of hockey operations, Dave Nonis will be named Team Canada's general manager for the upcoming World Hockey Championship.

Nonis is expected to be assisted by Rob Blake, who recently accepted a position with the NHL's Hockey Operations department

It's believed Hockey Canada will add at least one more piece to its management team before starting to assemble a list of potential players and its coaching staff.

By itself, not such a big deal... but clinching the division *automatically* means clinching a playoff spot and being seeded at least third.

Currently, the fewest goals allowed by team are:

1) Nashville 165
2) Boston 166
3) Vancouver 167
4) Los Angeles 170

I think this is a given. As good as his stats have been compared to his previous years in Van, he hes only top 3/4 in the league right now (except for wins). He'll probably be a finalist, though.

top 3/4?

he's first in wins, 3rd in SV%, and 4th in GAA

people were screaming for price as Vezina and he isnt even in the top 5 of either

And you are screaming for Luongo to win. What's your point?

I think Thomas is going to take it.
