i dont think he will win it and i dont care

but he's a little better than "in the top 3/4"

LUUUUUUUU 03-16-2011 04:07 PM

Carey Price will win the Vezina over Luongo and Thomas because:
-has an awesome save % for the amount of games and shots he faced
-he has played 14 more games than thomas right now
-his Ds are pretty shitty compare to Boston or Vancouver, yet he still has pretty decent numbers
-his team has one of the worst Goals For in the league and he's the reason for most of their Wins because of this, whereas Boston and Vancouver are pretty elite in offense

^ Thomas faces more shots per game than either Price or Lu.

Thomas: 1554 shots / 48 games = 32 shots/game
Price: 1863 shots / 62 games = 30 shots/game
Luongo: 1567 shots / 53 games = 30 shots/game

That makes no sense.

The whole reason of having Save % in the first place is that it takes the number of games/shots faced out of play.

If Thomas has a better Save %, that means he lets in fewer goals given the same number of shots. Period.

LUUUUUUUU 03-16-2011 04:31 PM

true.. but i think they have to consider the fact that Price would have probably played 15-18 more games than Thomas has by the end of the year... having said that for Price to keep the numbers that he has even with that many more games and less rest is pretty hard to do... plus Price is 4-1 against Boston this year and he probably won that fight against Thomas too :fullofwin:

Price: 1863 shots / 62 games = 30 shots/game
Luongo: 1567 shots / 53 games = 30 shots/game

if Thomas had as many back to back starts as Price has had to play i highly doubt that Thomas' save % would be nearly as high though...

Hondaracer 03-16-2011 04:37 PM

also Luongo has more wins playing 10 less games..

LUUUUUUUU 03-16-2011 04:40 PM

but Price is in the East... so his chances of winning it is so much higher :fullofwin:

RiceIntegraRS 03-16-2011 04:46 PM

So it is safe to assume that Thomas, Luongo and Price will be the Vezina Finalists

LUUUUUUUU 03-16-2011 04:50 PM

i would say so i like King Lundqvist too

^

After careful consideration, Daniel Sedin has been suspended for 2 games for his actions on Greg Campbell. In reviewing this play, we also took into consideration that Greg Campbell is Colin Campbell's son.

lol

carisear 03-16-2011 05:34 PM

To me, Thomas wins Vezina hands down, simply from his totally epic numbers.

I think Price deserves it though because of what he had to put up with in montreal. 'omg they traded the wrong goalie' he's had an awesome year considering the history with the fans.

Weird... @VanCanucks twitter on my wife's iPhone shows the Canucks logo being Keslerbombed... but on my Tweetdeck and twitter.com it's not.

thomas sees all his shots just like halak in last years playoff, nobody dares to pick up the garbage in front

Hondaracer 03-16-2011 06:03 PM

Go nucks!

edit* lol the "phone board" on TV is such a joke, they all pick up their phones as the camera comes on them, looks horrible lol

RRxtar 03-16-2011 06:04 PM

What, I thought Bobby Lu was the most over rated goalie of all time? Being top 3 in all important stats doesnt mean anything!!! :troll:

Drives me nuts no matter how well he plays, the critics are as loud as always.

Thomas will win the Vezina

gars 03-16-2011 06:05 PM

sweet - Zetterberg with 2 to top Washington.

DanHibiki 03-16-2011 06:07 PM

Kesler's wife is better looking that I remembered

spoon.ek9 03-16-2011 06:08 PM

^ good, broke their winning streak

LUUUUUUUU 03-16-2011 06:09 PM
