hopefully I am wrong on this one.

Both sedins will drop in pts to 85-90 pts.
If the sedins drop in pts, obviously burrows will drop in goals since they are in the same line.

there isn't the olympic next year, so I don't think samuelsson will explode.

Kesler is close to his limit (pt-per-game player), so I don't think his numbers will increase by a lot. Plus samuelsson will get fewer goals, hence raymond's improved goal production will break even this line in production compared to last year.

now I dunno about the third line yet, since I don't know who will be playing.

4th line isn't a scoring line. -> no point production.

From the history, ballard and hamhuis aren't really offensive defencemen. hence, not really more offensive than last year from our improved D.

so in conclusion, I don't think we will be 3rd in the league in scoring again.

But it was my bad to say we were going back to boring hockey.

I think we will end up being like 7th in the league for goals. IMO

hopefully I am wrong on this one.

If you think about it NHL pro's make the least out of the top 4 pro sports leagues (nhl, nfl, mlb, nba)

The list of highest contract payout goes like this
1.MLB
2.NBA
3.NFL
4.NHL

Only the Crosby's & Ovechkins get absolute maximum with some exceptions being dumb GM's handing out silly contracts like Garth Snow.
Nhl is also the least watched sport out of the 4 primarily due to the fact Americans prefer the nfl, mlb and nba more than nhl.

Contract for 17 years is just stupid. No player is gonna see the end of his contract because he'll either get injured, bought out or traded.

pretty sure a buyout will be involved at some point near the end of his contract.

Found this interesting topic in the canucks site.

Daniel and Henrik vrs. Naslund and Bertuzzi

bert and naslund combined
all 4 are exceptional players! I would love all 4 of them on the team when they are all at their prime.

I think if you looked back at Nazzy and Bert in the early 2000's, most of their goals came from Bertuzzi pushing his defenseman away from the crease area. As soon as they cracked down on that, their production went way down, and continued to drop until Bert tried to kill someone and Naslund became a head case.

Don't forget, Naslund had a bunch of sniper-type goals from the slot too, unless those were scored as a result of Bert shoving defensemen away...

Yup, I'm sure it helped. And the ones that didn't go through were big juicy rebounds

Or from the face off circles too, thats the Naslund I remember. After the lock out, it was like he lost his touch and the concussion probably didn't make things better.

So I just heard on 1040 that theirs a rumor floating around that Bieska for the Habs #1 draft pick Jarred Tinordi, I for one think that would be fricken wicked to have someone that size and young for the Canucks.

I'd do cartwheels around the office if that were to happen. We need a big hard nosed and rugged defensive prospect like him.

I would give my left nut if the Canucks can pull off that deal and lol, yes Bieksa would be eaten up alive by the Montreal media. I bet he'll request a trade after one season if he plays like he's played for the Canucks for most of his career.
