only time i would want chicago to win :fullofwin:

RRxtar 03-28-2011 06:11 PM

Who cares about clinching the conference 6 games out? we arent going to lose the rest of the season, we've pretty well got it locked up already. If Chicago lost, Dallas had a chance to make 8th place with Chicago and Calgary out of the show. Id fucking love to play Dallas in the first round!

You sure it isn't the off the skate move against Boston in the preseason?

fuck bure was fast.. even in todays game

Soundy 03-28-2011 06:12 PM

Ah well, makes it that much tougher for Cowtown - 2 points out of 8th now with 5 games left. Chicago jumps Anaheim into 8th.

Looks like no conference clinching tonight.

I remember that one too... but I definitely remember him doing the call-the-shot move too. Don't recall if it was an all-star game or pre-season or what, just seem to recall it was a mean-nothing game.

Damn... I remember seeing this one.
He's so quick... even in slow motion.
They had to slow-mo the slow-mo in order to see
the move he pulled off.

I'm gonna facepalm so hard if someone does.

Daniel and Kesler has the most goals on the Canucks, they also have the most shots.. you act like they dont go hand in hand..

anyways.. check out this Bure video, i think one of the best examples of speed he ever showed:

Yet another vancouver stat that proves how good they are this year. They are in the top ten for man games lost to injury.

Seems like the core guys want it more than ever this year. If they keep up the intensity and do what they have been doing it should be a successful playoffs.

dbaz 03-28-2011 06:48 PM

all the guys throwing out regular season stats, yea they are great but hopefully you realize that once the playoffs comes those mean shit all. look at last year for example 81%pk throughout the year then 61% in the playoffs. some teams have had great power plays that have gone completely dry in the playoffs while those with a horrible power play in the regular season all of a sudden have the best. the game completely changes in the playoffs it goes from a free flowing regular season where a majority of borderline plays are called to a tight checking anything goes type of game.

punkwax 03-28-2011 07:07 PM

^ lol. sure the playoffs are a different game, but you're completely wrong. Stats are a fairly accurate representation of a team's performance. 82 games of consistency is hard to maintain.

You're telling my #26 ranked Nashville (15.1%) may produce more powerplay goals than the #1 ranked Canucks (25.3%) in the playoffs?

Not a chance.

dbaz 03-28-2011 07:13 PM

if thats what you think fair enough but there's been cases of it. last year ott 16% during reg season 32% during post season

Gh0stRider 03-28-2011 07:16 PM

ducks tie it up...

No, obviously they go hand in hand. It's simple mathematics. But that guy was making the argument that that is the ONLY reason why Ovie is scoring a lot.

Doctors in New York City will attempt to restore the vision in Manny Malhotra's left eye tomorrow. The Vancouver Canucks forward is scheduled to undergo a surgical procedure less than two weeks after taking a puck to his left eye. The 30-year-old --who doesn't wear a visor-- was hurt on March 16th by a pass deflected off the stick of Colorado defenceman Erik Johnson. Malhotra underwent surgery immediately after suffering the injury and last week, the Canucks announced he was out for the season.

Hondaracer 03-28-2011 07:39 PM

I don't know the anantomy of an eye ball but I figured it was either a glancing blow or the eye was squished inward by the puck, guess eye is fairly resilient and kyprios is saying the doctor performing the surgery is the same that reattached Brian burrard's retina in 2000

Scary stuff eye surgery :S

No doubt. I imagine Malhotra's success ratio is high considering he was making visor jokes shortly after. If things were looking grim (anything lower than 60% IMO) he probably wouldn't be saying a thing publicly.

You are bang on.
