well at least Perry's got no shot at that....not exactly the most well-liked player around the league

You don't have to be liked to be respected.

On all the Perry/Sedin debate.. Im sure you all read PUCK DADDY on YAHOO(best hockey blog IMO, LeBrun is different), but for those that dont, or are only Canucks fans check out this write up. I believe Wyshynski also made a strong case for HANK last year as well for the HART

Quote:

The greatest threat to Daniel Sedin's(notes) candidacy for the Hart Trophy is timing.
The Professional Hockey Writers Association is voting now for the NHL's Most Valuable Player, and there's no question that the player most valuable to his team at this moment is Corey Perry(notes) of the Anaheim Ducks.
He's taken a commanding lead in the goal-scoring race, and he has 22 points in his last 10 games as the Ducks hang on to a playoff seed in the Western Conference.
Of course, the 14 games in November, in which he scored six goals, are worth just as many points in the standings as the 14 games in March, in which he scored he scored 15. But the urgency of the playoff race makes his efforts seem all the more valiant.
Which is to say momentum is on his side. Yahoo! Sports' Nick Cotsonika acknowledges that his performance lately could put Perry over the top. Scott Burnside penned a Perry-for-Hart column for ESPN.com.
Lambert made the case against Perry recently, but conditions and momentum have changed. I'm fine with either player winning, but still intend to cast my vote for Daniel Sedin. Here's why.

My vote for Daniel is based on the fact that he's been a consistently good player throughout the entire season.

shawn79 04-08-2011 04:20 PM

daniel, i believe he would have won the art ross and hart if he didnt get injured last yr
62gp with 82pts he was tied with henrik for the pts per game %

I like the last line. :lol
If Crosby didn't get injured though... maybe 130 pts this season
Who knows. He was better than ever this season. Pens are doing very well, considering they lost Crosby and Malkin.

This season's scoring has been a bit low though. Most seasons, at least 2 or 3 players hit the 3 digit mark. And the winner
gets at least 110 pts.

damn pretty nice goal by gerbe

PornMaster 04-08-2011 05:57 PM

Perry no points tonight, CALLED IT :troll:

RiceIntegraRS 04-08-2011 06:09 PM

The way i see why daniel should win is cause hes been consistent all year long, where perry struggled out of thr gate and went on a torid pace for 2 months, lets say crosby got injured in thr start of the season and did wat he did from midway point to now. I see that being really similiar to wat perry has done.

and seeing how henrik won it last year would just make it EPIC if daniel won this year

spoon.ek9 04-08-2011 06:40 PM

either way you look at it, it's been sedin domination two years straight :D

punkwax 04-08-2011 06:45 PM

But if he wasn't in the lineup, would the Canucks still be doing well? Of course. The same can't be said for Perry (sigh). Remember the trophy is for the player most valuable for his team.

AzNightmare 04-08-2011 07:33 PM
