and Detroit is winning 2-1 halfway through the 2nd right now.

Who would the Stars play if they win and Chi loses? Dallas might throw the game just so they don't have to play Van in the first round.

damn... so much confusion. This is how it works.
If Chicago gets at least 1 pt, Canucks play LA
Dallas' game would be irrelevant
If Chicago gets 0 pts, and Dallas wins in regulation or OT (not in SO)
we play Dallas (chicago's out of playoffs)
If Chicago loses, and Dallas loses (or wins in SO), we play Chicago.
