I said it once and I'll say it again, if we can't beat the Hawks we don't deserve the cup. I don't know what difference it makes if we play DAL or CHI. Sure we dominated them in the regular season, but playoffs is completely different hockey.

Every extra game you play in the first round, especially considering the intensity of playoff hockey, is significant when you're playing well into June.

vey true.. it shouldn't matter who we face.. and chicago isn't exactly playing great hockey.. it is more psychological than anything....
the stars remind me of the year when the canucks just had to win their last 2 games to make it in, and they lost to edm in the last game of the year in a lacklustre affair.

It's gonna be a big battle regardless of who isn't on the Hawks team this yr. It's the freaking playoffs dammit. Everyone plays a bit harder and the gaps that were there during the season are closed.
It'll be an amazing first round. I'm hoping for Canucks to pull through but I think it'll take at least 6

It's a high risk, low reward series. If we win, it's cool we took out the hawks but the reward is just the 2nd round. If we lose... fuck, don't even want to think about it.

Dallas has Morrow, Richards, Eriksson, and......Ribeiro? Its not even close IMO. Look at our games vs them this year and how tight all the Chicago games were, while the Dallas games were all basically borderline blowouts.
