people need to accept...i will NEVER leave this thread......FLAME JERSEY ON!

you prove ignorance to me so easily...you are unaware how much of a steal joki is at his current price....he falls well within the great price range for a 50 pt player...and everyone knows he is very capable of more....so before you uneducated hockey fans start hating on that deal...maybe you should look at the going rate for a player like that and educate yourself how salary works in the NHL for player rankings.

if 'canucks' fans like you(70% of this thread), were actually very knowledgeable on how deals work and contract prices in the NHL, I probably wouldnt harp on you. but when uneducated fools, start talking like they think they know hockey, it just makes you look foolish. I guess your okay with that though.

like i said, most the people in this thread are 16 years old...have never played hockey in their life and decided to start watching it so their fathers will love them, but still have no idea what boarding penalty is.

ok there buddy
ill be glad to eat my words if jokinen acutally turns out to be the "steal" people [ or at least you ] claim he is then..
but until then.... ask any professional hockey panel expert....
that was a horrible signing

IIRC, nobody wanted to sign jokinen, they were even talking about it on free agency day. this was the first offer he was given, and of course he took it, probably would be better off in the KHL, where it would be easier for him

i mean, calgary essentially PAID to get back the garbage they dumped off

It's not as easy as it looks. It's like roofing a shot on a backhand top shelf

Definitely harder than it looks.

70 yards is longer than the length of a NHL arena. Even if Crosby had the strength to make the puck go that length (which he might), the puck wouldn't be 10 feet off the ground (high enough to split the uprights) that far down the field.

For the average hockey player, it's hard! Should be easy for a pro though.

AzNightmare 07-27-2010 03:01 PM

I lost sight of Crosby's second shot. But the direction looked correct, compared to the first one, which was too far to the left.

Tim Budong 07-27-2010 03:02 PM

Well roofing the ppick is not hard, doing it during a game situation isn't easy. I should have made it more clearly lol.

DanHibiki 07-27-2010 03:30 PM

I've scored with a backhand for the blueline before too....in NHL 10

MR_BIGGS 07-27-2010 03:41 PM

Backhand shots are deadly....goalie doesn't know which direction the puck is going to go....

something called Jr A or something like that. I was just the water boy

Harvey Specter 07-27-2010 04:21 PM

Lol @ Dan Cloutier. Talk about one bad bounce fucking up your entire career.

tacobell 07-27-2010 04:50 PM

Cloutier was a horrible goalie even before that goal. Yes, he got a lot of wins, but that was due to productive offense and the days of the west coast express. That goal he let in just sealed his fate as a goalie in the NHL, if you can't stop a beach ball, you can't play net in the NHL, 'just saying.

mb_ 07-27-2010 05:21 PM

Max Talbot calls Oven Chicken a douche LOL
